Hi Honourable Moderator,

I need your advice.

Can the father of a British child live in the same house with the child’s mum and apply for the parent of the British child flr fp?
Hi,

The same happened to me the first visa was spouse and then we broke up but due to the pandemic I couldn’t move I lost my job because I needed to stay and looked after our child, so what I did was first my ex sent an email to home office that our relationship broke down and that fue to pandemic I was staying in the same house I then applied for switch to a parent visa explaining the situation I still haven’t heard nothing I applied for the visa on the 18 of March.
Hope this helps, what is your current visa ??

Hi, I just join this website. Is it anyone of you submitted FLR FP on November 2020? I called HO, tried to escalate my case but they said I can't escalate base on my case (FLR FP).

Hi All,

Please I need your advice. My application has been with HO since Jan 2019.

I have escalated twice (responce was that...not completed)
Contacted mp to help contact HO ( same response...not completed)

My lawyer has now advised that we can use Judicial Review to try and get a decision but the High cost of the JR and the likely hood of actually getting a decision is my main concern. The application is almost 2 and half years.

Please has anyone experienced this lengthy delay or used a JR to get a decision? And whether its worth using JR.

Thanks All.

Hello everyone,
I am Saif .I am very quiet member here .I have applied flr (fp) first extension on November 20th 2020 and we didn’t apply for fee waiver .December 18th we have done our biometric. My son is British (10 years route ).He is 14 now .So we applied for myself, my wife 2 daughters (9) and 8 years old .January I complained to home office and mentioned them we are struggling as my wife lost the job due to Covid and can’t get a job because of no visa .Home office instructed my local council to help us and they paid me £518 a week from 1st Feb till 13th of May .Today our visa is extended for 30 months. So be patience and I wish everyone all the best.

I suggest you contact a local journalist. That’s what I was doing now , mine too it’s been 10 months and still no decision, I escalated multiple times , escalated through local MP and still got no response , I escalated again today through the home office hotline and they told me the escalation is still in progress and will end on this Friday evening and if no response call again, I’m fed up so what I did is I emailed all the London journalist that I saw in google and Twitter almost 100 of them only 2 responded on weekends and had a zoom meeting in one of them, today he phoned the Home Office asking for a comment but they are asking for my name so I told the journalist to give them my application details. Hopefully I will get the decision within this week! If not I don’t know anymore. My solicitor tried his best but not really helpful at all. So it’s me only chasing my case I hope you do the same and put pressure in home office nonstop

He cannot sponsor a spouse in a spouse if he holds FLR FP. He can only sponsor a spouse once he has ilr

The minimum you must have to sponsor partner is ILR, that's a drawback of his FLR FP.

FLR FM GRANTED!
The wait is finally over!!!
After 10months of chasing my case I’ve got my decision today after 4pm.
Timeline;
DOA: August 14, 2020
Bio: Oct.28,2020
S. Doc: oct28,2020 to FHRU Sheffield
Docs acknowledge: January 31,2021
Same date asking for further documents which is permission to view copy of my Family court order which I didn’t received at all from my solicitors, long story short.
I escalated my case starting 6months of my application. Phoned first time I was told I can’t escalate yet as it was too early, then started seeking help through local MP every month but no luck , I kept escalating phoning ..628 and still nothing, they just kept saying to wait. Very frustrated last month on my 9th month of waiting I started getting ticket ref from my escalations but still didn’t work they just kept telling me to phone after 5days,blah blah, but then one of the member Peter here about her story how her hers done through phoning journalists, from then I did mama hes to email all local journalists I could see from google about 100’s of them but no one responded, last 2weeks ago I started searching through Twitter and found few of them to email there, 2 of them responded , then 1 get in touch with me with serious concerns about my case, he phoned Home office and ask for comment, but the response of Home office was that they’re waiting for my permission to view my family court order that’s why they can’t decide. My solicitor responded immediately last Friday to expedite my case with or without those documents. Was really an effin pain and lame excuse from the HO. first off they told from the letter that they will decide if we don’t respond after the deadline mark which is March. And since then they haven’t even tried to. Follow up those documents to my solicitor, I was pissed that after all the efforts I’ve done from exposing my private life to a journalist still I didn’t get any decision, and then I started ringing ..628 again Monday out of desperation since I was really depressed that my boyfriend was in lisbon enjoying the sun and to see family and me and my daughter got stocked here in a very rainy London ~ i was out on hold for over an hour I don’t know how much they will charge me on that waiting but yes I managed to re-escalate my case again and lady over the phone was really impressively nice even apologised that her dog was barking in the background, she gsve me s new ticket for escalation and pass it on to urgent team. Same day the journalist wanted to speak to solicitor, solicitor says yes to him yesterday, I emailed his contact today , and in the afternoon solicitor phoned me asking about the journalists, I was confused at first but as he says I was refused I started to cry and then I told them I want to appeal they started to all laugh in their office and congratulating me!

So yes it’s a long long time of waiting. I don’t know which triggers the home office to decide but I guess it’s all our efforts put together to get the decision today! Plus my boyfriends mums candle prayer really works! She prayed for me the whole week today and lighting candles for this visa.

Although I was extremely happy I was also extremely sad that just few hours of getting my visa. My nana back home passed away today.

I have mixed emotions from this journey but I just wanted to thank you all for your guidance and help especially all the moderators and admin in the group , and those members who I’ve been contacting for queries.

Thank you all so much!

Hi, I just join this website. Is it anyone of you submitted FLR FP on November 2020? I called HO, tried to escalate my case but they said I can't escalate base on my case (FLR FP).
What’s the number you called please. I also want to escalate my case. I submitted in November as well. I haven’t heard anything

FLR FM GRANTED!
The wait is finally over!!!
After 10months of chasing my case I’ve got my decision today after 4pm.
Timeline;

🥰
Congratulations Mate..

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. Sorry for your loss! May your Nan soul rest in peace!
Please, what's the home office escalation number?
cheers :D :D :D :D :D

Can anyone give me some info on their experience with FLR private life (human rights).
We applied and have our appeal hearing tomorrow. Would love to hear what others have experienced. Please pray for a positive outcome.

Hi guys,

Did anyone else have issues completing the online application form for FLR FP 10 years partner route.

I am applying for extension and it is asking for English, Financial and Accommodation details.

Also asking to submit documents regarding these.

Is that normal?

I thought I'll get the updates rolling for those us who applied in 2021:

My first flr fp application extension
Application made: 20/12/2020
Biometric done: 29/01/2021
Decision: Waiting
How come your biometrics took so long? My biometrics were a day before you and I applied on 12th Jan.
My first FLR(P) application as the parent of a British citizen
Application made: 12/01/2021
Biometric done: 28/01/2021
Decision: Waiting
Still waiting. This is getting very frustrating.
