Hi guys,

Confused here.

New Online application asks 'what languages does the applicant speak fluently'?

Previously in the old paper application it was 'what languages do you speak'?

I put English in the old application but the new one asks for fluently spoken languages.
It's not a trick question, if they speak other language(s) fluently state such.
I stated Urdu and English in the old application which asks what languages do you speak.

New application asks what you speak 'Fluently'. Just state Urdu cause I don't believe her English is at Fluent level?

Hi everyone, I have been a silent member for 4months now, reading all your timelines and stories. I have been greatly inspired by all and waiting patiently for my application to come back. I received a phone call last week Tuesday from my lawyer saying my application has been granted, l received my BRP on Thursday . I am so thankful and Grateful to God and wish everyone waiting for nothing but great need. Good luck to all who are waiting and congratulations to anyone who has been recently granted.

The stagnant feeling is crazy and rather depressing.

Hello Guys,

i have read your comments, On my british child i made an application with the home office through lawyer on 11th jan 2021, gave my bio metrics on 5th of Feb 2021. I have completed my 6months of timelines but didn't heard anything about my visa? What i can do at this stage?

Normally how long it is taking for the process, When i have applied there was no priority service and also my case is me and my husband got separated and now i making application on my visa as a mother.

Now can i switch to super priority service?

Please suggest !!

Looks like someone back tracked and deleted their incorrect advice regards FLR FP application time lines 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Due to Covid - the HO has extended the recommended “reasonable” time scale max 6 months for FLR FP application decisions to no time advised time scale.

The HO have done so as FLR FP cases are often complex and need to be overseen by more senior and experienced decision makers within the system… sometimes more than one team needs to be consulted.

However a “reasonable” time frame will still be relevant here….applications prior to Covid were subject to the recommended time frame as outlined by the HO… therefore applicants may be waiting slightly longer at present…

Im sure if/when challenged the HO will be assigning a time frame once again now that backlog and Covid restrictions have been eased.

Hold tight everyone :)

To my knowledge you are unable to switch to priority service, it would mean making a completely new application

As you have already been waiting since Feb 2021 I suggest waiting a little longer and hopefully you will have a positive outcome.

It’s really frustrating. I’ve been waiting for over 7 months. Escalated twice and still no update from HO.

Yes I can imagine it is. It’s not an ideal situation… but until the HO are legally challenged then they aren’t obliged to change this policy.

I really hope you get your positive outcome very soon.

Do keep escalating and keep your MP in copy.

Congratulations to everyone!!!
I have been a member of this platform for some time now even though some of us don't comment we come here to read messages for encouragement.
I do have a question and I believe someone will help here.if someone put in an application on 7 year child rule earlier before its 7 years with a fee waiver which was granted in March and the application was submitted in April while the 7 years will be clocked next year May. Isn't possible to be granted before May next year or only after May next?

Lucky you, just wait for full 7 years to complete, I would suggest meanwhile no follow ups to HO.
