Thanks guys
My timeline is really long story
Got married 2013 after my student visa expired Applied for spouse visa
April 4 2014 and got refused 8 weeks after due to not misting the financial requirements
And started reporting since 2015 for only 6 months and stopped.
Got another girl pregnant December 2015 and separated from my wife
April 2016 got a visit from home office to arrest me and luckily my pregnant girlfriend was there that day and I wasn’t arrested
Then applied after the baby was born
Never really used a solicitor

Hi AM29
Had you waited for 6 months?
l am in the same situation as you.l have 8 days to go before l reach 6 months of waiting though l rang today and the guy l talked to asked when l applied.
He didn't ask specific date he just asked m which month l applied l told him September 2017.
Then he said my case need to be escalated so he asked me for my details n told m to wait to hear from someone within 5 working days and if am not contacted l should contact them next Monday .
He gave me a ref number to quote when l call them.

Hi all just an update.
So we applied July last year. Its almost been 8 months since and we have not heard a thing apart from biometrics etc.
Finally decided to give HO a call today and the lady was very kind. I asked for a status check and she took my wifes details down and said she will pass this on to our case handler and their team and they will get back to me by email or phone.
Is this what usually happens when you ask for a status check over the phone?
Would really appreciate anyone elses experience.
Thank you

Yes they will send you one email which is standard reply from HO for all applicant. Your case is not decided yet still in process and we are not able to tell you when case will be decided.
I am waiting over an year called them twice and got same email both time.
Just wait noting else we can do .
They got backlog. Check the bbc report.

I am new to this Forum pls
I am single and came to Uk in 2009 to study Nursing
After my student visa expired I applied for a spouse visa
Unfortunately I was in a domestic violence relationship which wasn’t reported, you know how family involvement can be in a relationship
Anyway I tried to renew the spouse visa inn August 2016 but they requested for an interview but my spouse refused as we had splitter due to several infidelity on his side
I immediately change the application to Dv application which was refused due to lack of evidence
Applied for FlR private life on the 6/06/17
I still haven’t heard anything
I stopped going to sign as they were very rude to me
I am so scared
Can someone advise me please
