FLR M extension - 180 days absence at one period of time

Post by vpruk » Mon Jul 05, 2021 7:43 pm

Dear all gurus and members,Help please

bit panicking.. : (

I would like to request all for some help as i am filling my wife's FLR M extension application.
just filling the absence days found that she has got 180 days absence at one period (left uk on 30th sep 2019- 9:30pm departure flight and returned on 27 feb 2020 evening 7pm).

1. Am i calculating correct ? is it 180 days please
2. would it affect her FLR M extension.
3. would it affect her ILR after completely 5 years partner route please.- I think it is SET M application.
4. would it affet her ILR if applying under 10 year route SET -LR please.

Many thanks in advance

its a 150 days, but read below from HO guidance

No more than 180 days’ absences are allowed in a consecutive 12-month period.
You must only include whole days in this calculation. Part day absences, for
example, less than 24 hours, are not counted. Therefore, if the applicant had a single
absence during the 12 month period and arrived in the UK on day 181, the period
would not exceed 180 days.

There is NO absence limit for spouse visa holders.

The 180 days applies to a completely different visa category.

IHS is £1560 for a 2.5 year extension. You pay online as part of the application process.

Thanks a lot CR001- You are supesonic fast. brilliant
was told only £470 per year so was worried why £1560 ? how they calculate.
i feel it is very expensive for health surcharge ( to have paracetomol for any health issues) for 2.5 years.
anyway have to pay sadly. :(
thanks

IHS is £624 per year for adults

A reduced rate is for children.

Paracetamol you can buy over the counter.

A GP visit costs the NHS around £118 per visit. Hospital care much more.

Thanks CR001, Totally agree !
Finally applied and got bio-metric booked.

I would like to request to clear a doubt that in FLR-M can the applicant set up a limited company ?

After FLR-M extension completing 5 years route, would it be SET M for the ILR ! If so anything i need to mindful and to be considering in the qualifying period please like income, absence in uk etc please.

An FLR(M) visa holder is free to do any type of employment/business.

The requirements for ILR are the same as FLR(M) for financial plus two years proof of cohabitation, plus English B1 and LIUK test.

There is NO absence limit!!
