Hi guys, thanks to this great forum and the mods.
Disclaimer: each application depend on each individual circumstances.
Status: I was on a tier 2- Dependent visa from October 2013 and expiring end of October 2015. Wife got her ILR in may 2015.
FLR M checklist:
Documents:
passport x2
biometric x2
passport pictures x 2 - Applicant
passport pictures x 1- Sponsor
Payment sheet (verified by reception and at the counter)
Application confirmation number (verified by security at entrance and at reception)
ILR reference (already on payment sheet)
Financial Requirement:
sponsor's 6 months pay slip
sponsor's 6 months corresponding bank statement
sponsor's contract of employment
sponsor's letter to confirm her length of employment and type of employment
P60
hurdle:
I qualified for the financial requirement but couldn't provide my payslips because they didn't match the bank statement. For that I would have to get a letter from my employer or accountant to explain this and I better off relied on my partner's pay slips.
on the cat A form I just filled the section where it asked if I am working, job title and my NI number.
Subsisting Relationship:
1st period - Bank A joint account
2nd period- Sponsor's bank statement and Dependant Electoral Register
3rd period - Bank A joint account (again) (remember atleast three different sources)
4th period- sponsor's Electoral Register and dependant DBS
5th period- sponsor's GP letter and dependant bank statement
6th period - sponsor's home office letter and dependent water bill
Other documents:
pearson english test (original)
12 pictures taken together with sponsor
sponsor's letter to say that she is happily married and sponsoring me.
sponsor's parents letter to confirm that they concur with my extension
sponsor's parents passport pictures
They only asked my sponsor's if she got ILR through long residence.
The case worker called me because she couldn't find my pearson english test (three times she said she checked). I checked and gave it to her and told her forth is the lucky charm.
waited for about 3 hours.
and then got the wonderful news.
thank you all for the advice and guidance.
