Marriage certifiate wrong date of birth

hi guys,

i am planning to apply for dependant visa for my wife. however i came to know that here age written on the Nikha nama i.e. marriage certificate is wronge. on marriage certificate it shows only age in years. when i checked her dob that is different.

now i am planning, first to get english translation and then to certify from Foreign office of pakistan.

i am married in pakistan ans settled in uk.

please guide me what should i do.


shell i need to reissue the nikhah nama or should i go ahead for varification....

My husband and I had a similar problem. We were married in Spain where we were living and found that our marriage certificate had the incorrect year of birth for him. We had an admission of the error issued by the Spanish registry as they said they were unable to issue a new
marriage certificate as this was signed by witnesses on the day. We attached this to our wedding certificate with a legally certified translation
in English. It took time to sort out, but we felt it would be a potential problem later on when this was needed for anything official, not just
visa applications. We've not a problem since with any applications.
