Hi, congratulations... u just need to go through medical and hope you get your visa soon, you dont need to go for an Interview...

i appled in chennai vfs office
on 10/06/09
today i collted my medical form from vfs office
and tomorrow i will go to medical checkup

friday i went to medical checkup
and what is the next step of bhc

The status should change to 'Medical envelope collected on'

After the medical has been carried out, the results will be passed to the BHC who will make a descision.

The status will remain ''Medical envelope collected on' until the decision has been made. Wait for a about 10-12 days then call the BHC in India for an update or check the status online.

what is the medical for, what sort of check ups involved in medical?
Is all the applicants have to do a medical?
can you have the medical done anywhere you like or BHC tells you where to have it done?
real life, where did you have your medical?

We'll be applying for a dependent settlement visa for elderly parents soon from chennai soon so please advise.

i do know correctly ya
but they give some hospital addres in the medical form
and there only we will go to medical checkup
they check me vision sight,earing , height ,wieight,bbp test,they take chest xray for checking tb or not and blood test and urinetest

today i check my status i saw passport is collection please come and collect it now i am very sacred about this
some people told me if they gave visa they will call other wise they metioned come and collect it is it right

You might as well go and collect it remember to take your receipt and a copy of your passport.

From reading past posts some people get a call and there is no status change, other people get no call and a status change or they get both.

Ring VFS up first if your worried, but I would go and collect!!!

17/07/2009 please collect your medical form called from vfs
18/07/09 i went to medical checkup
23/07/09 yesterday i checked my status on that mentioned please collect your possport
24/07/09 today i received my possoport and they provide 26month visa
about this any information want please ask me

Can you post all the docs you sent as India is known for interviewing, so you must have supplied strong evidence and this will help everyone out.

Just wondering about the medical process now, did they ask you to go to a particular place or was there a choice to choose from. What were the requirements? 5 Passport size photos and 1 negative? Anything else? Also did they return your documents with the medical envelope?

PS Did you collect your passport or was it couriered to you, did you pay the 200 Rupee fee?

She has to go back this Thursday to Complete her Medical, then its a wait I think!!!
