Nightmare, 13 weeks no information on when decision expected, contacted UKVI by e-mail but reply just said no information on individual cases, just have to wait. Existing BRP expired so can't prove legal residence and can't do international travel. With Covid not a problem to date but will be in May.

My wife's application

Application Type : FLR(M)
Date application sent : 11/12/2020 (online)
Biometrics on: 18/01/2021
Additional Documents Requested on (if any): no
Acknowledgement Received with delay information: 30/01/2021
Escalation to UKVI by MP: 06/04/2021
Decision of Application: 26/04/2021 (granted)
BRP Card Received : waiting

Note: Our MP clearly articulated our case to UKVI in the letter. We think that contacting the MP may have helped expedite our case. Our MP mentioned that it could take 4 weeks to get a reply and in our case, it was earlier.
