I need some help with my wife's FLR(M) application please. I submitted her application on the 17th of Feb 2014 and received an acknowledgement letter in about a week. However we haven't received any letter for biometric enrollment yet.I am quite concerned about it now.

Could someone please shed some lights on my next course of action? I tried to call UKVI today on the old 0870... no and was routed to 03001232241 no but couldn't get through as it says everyone is busy.

Many thanks for your support.

You never know with Home Office. They said after 01.01.14 they will deal with applications within 8 weeks from the date when the application was sent, and if they can't make decision in this period they will inform applicant. So you might not need to worry before this period lapse.
My timeline:

10/02/14 application sent
11/02/14 application received by HO
13/02/14 acknowledgment letter received
14/02/14 biometric letter received
21/02/14 biometric provided
Now waiting..................

Dear Aztec 1032
My family member applied for his wife in Jan 2014 and the home office didn't accept the English test of Toiec and send a letter with atteted passport copy to book English test from another listed body. In March he submitted English test result from another body and start waiting for Biomatrics letter, After a week he call at 01142073463 and they given a public inquiry number when he tried that number he got same response as you had. Anyway he call back again on above mention number than they sort out his wife's biomatrics letter and dispatched with recorded delivery. I got this number to help you out now You can try if you want.

Hello Shabba-Kaka,

Thank you for your support and insightful information. I called the number mentioned just a while ago and was advised that they deal with English Language Requirement issues only. I was suggested to contact the regular UKVI 0870.. number. So I presume these guys were able to help your friend's case as there was issue with English Language Requirement.

Nevertheless, thank you for the suggestion and support.

Hello everyone.

I am about to apply for FLRm form. Both my wife and I are working and salaries are over 50K. everything seems within hand.

My only concern is that i am considered as an overstayer now as I got refused before due to salaries being lower than 18k. now situation is completely different.... however i dont have rights to work.

What are the chances of them finding if i decide to continue with work while applying and awaiting their decision? do they check?

Please help if you know something as the stress is growing daily.

Thank you

I got ILR on the basis of 10 years last december, my previous visa was student.
I already applied for my child naturalization.
Im going to apply for my wife visa on flr(m). Im on pre july 2012 rules. her visa is going to expire 11th april.
My job contract is going to change in 2 weeks time & my salary will be 18500.

My question is for Maintenance.

My current monthly salary is 700 pounds after tax.
My bank statement ending balance is 4000 pounds.

is she going to get visa?

I think based on the fact that you got the visa pre july 2012 therefore your situation should not change when you re apply. You will need to call them or seek a solicitor on this matter. If new rules apply to you then you would be rejected as it is below 18600! if you have a joint income of over 18600 then you would be ok.

Further to my previous post .. I just called UKVI today to find out about my wife's application progress. I have been told they still haven't issued the biometric letter yet and not sure when they would do so. I have been given a fax no to contact 'casewroking' team which I would do tomorrow. It has been more than 6 weeks and not even an invitation to enroll biometric!!! Please let me know if any of you have any suggestion to expedite.

Further to my post earlier... if you dont show you earn 18600 or over then most likely your application would be placed in hold until they find out in may exactly whats happening with the financial requirements!! they are thinking to change it but await confirmation in may... it would be minimum wage rather than 18600... so u can apply in any case and wait... your partner's status would be the same as it is now until decision is decided.

What do you mean by proof of address?? Do you mean co-habitation? Is it required for FLR(M)? I thought it was only needed for SET(M) application.....!!!

Also, did you submit recognised English translation of Marriage Certificate if it was not in English?
