Received no update from Home office at all. It has been a whole week and I am abit wary now. Is there any way i can contact them to find out if my application had arrived?

I know on the Guidance for FLR(M) there is some contact address if I wish to submit more documents. But I dont know what other ways i can contact Home office to ask if they are going to send me a acknowledgement

This my story everyone that took 2 years to resolve!

I applied for FLRm form in 2012 after being on a post study visa. I was working in a place while my wife was completing her studies. we were meeting every weekend.

6 months after the day of application I got refused as I wasn't meeting the financial requirement even though the last company used to pay for my car, petrol and accommodation and a basic salary.

I seeked advice from a Lawyer called THARWAT AL SANAWI who works for Woodfords solicitors in London, and she assured me that my case was straight forward. while waiting for the appeal date at court, i got a new job that paid 4 times what the threshold of the UKBA so perfect news. Since I did't know anything about the law, I seeked advice, and Tharwat told me that we wont tell the court about your new circumstances. I said OK since i didn't know. She did not send any file to the court and everything was a big mess!! Judge even looked at her letters and criticised them for being written in bad english!! court decision was a refusal!! and i don't blame the judge for that. she even advised me not to take my wife to court which was a disgrace and the judge did criticise that and made me look like i have no family or friends in the country i was living in for the last 7 years.
immediately I complained about her to her law firm and emails and letters were going in and out... and they asked me to meet with them at their law firm. She denied everything she has told me and made me sound like a big liar. I had proof of everything... but her senior partner took sides with her all the way...I paid them £1800 for litrally nothing... £200 was paid cash to her.. she denied that fact.
last week I received an email from them asking me to pay £350 remaining!! this is ridiculous now as i have not signed anything with them regarding those payments.

I will report them the SRA and Legal ombudsman for their misconduct and negligence in my case!!!

I seeked advice from another law firm called Arden Solicitors in London. They were brilliant...really good people and most of all they cared!! and we appealed their decision twice and we reached the upper tribunal but since the last judge did not do any error in law they still refused my case.

I had to reapply for a new application but that meant i had to leave my job. but since my wife was working we were able to reapply

So i did apply on the 24 March 2014, a month later got biometrics done. and yesterday 15/05/2014 I got the documents in the post and can go back to my employment!!! very good news indeed.

This is by far the most stressful time in my life!!

Please everyone if you want a lawyer do ask about them and find out exactly what you are getting yourself into!! and make sure do not go to a lawyer called Tharwat al sanawi(shes Iraqi).... she is worst than bad.

I have spoken to homeoffice they gave me this information you have switched your wife visa to flr m you might get problem on that . You have to apply for flrm in 28 days once you get ilr on long residency basis ..

Is there any complication in your case? I applied for my wife's FLR(M) and got visa in 1 month and few days, sent application by post and did not use NCS.

Hi guys (il_aam _insaan & pride of...)

thanks for sharing info, regarding applying for wifes visa as pbs dependent, i have contacted HO twice, and they clearly mentioned that there is no time frame as to when u should apply for ur wifes FLR m, as long as her visa is valid and she is not traveling abroad.
Yes they do say to apply as early as possible but there is no time frame/limit.

regarding proving cohabitation,

i cant provide letters for last two yrs on my or my mrs name in a sequence, the reason being previously on rent all incl. Has any one come across this issue or heard anythign is HO lenient on this ( for married couples)? as my wife was inclu on al previous extensions..

I think the guidance notes says that if you can't provide bills etc, you can provide a letter from your landlord or any tenancy agreement saying all bills included etc. Make sure that letter/tenancy agreement covers said period of 2 years. You should have any mobile phone bills, also include anything to everything you can find in your/wife's names etc. When I sent my wife's application, I didn't have any clue if I would need these letters for this purpose but thankfully I had a bundle of old documents which I sorted for this purpose. I attached as many documents as I could such as, NI confirmation letter, bank statements, bills, mobile bills, prescriptions, NHS letters, driving licences, home office letters (include each and every letter). I am sure this should be sufficient. I am going at PEO for her ILR soon with the same bundle, lets see what happens...

Hello everyone. My spouse will be applying for ILR in October could you please tell me what documents he will need. I have had a look around but can't seen to find a list of the documents. Will he only need the last six months worth of paper work or the whole two years.

i need some urgent help please,

Today i received a letter from HO on my wife's Flr(m) saying that your application falls to be refused because you do not meet the income threshold of 18600, but your application has been put on hold until the courts have decided the outcome of appeal of challenge of income threshold requirement.

I got ilr on the basis of 10 years last december. My wife was my dependent on tier 4 visa since 2011.

I applied for her visa on 3rd of april. so she should come under old rules & only need to show maintenance.

Should i write to HO requesting review of her application under old rules?

Any advice please.
