Passport destroyed just before arrival on spouse visa

Post by Edwardo » Wed Nov 21, 2018 12:59 pm

I have been asked this question by someone and I am unsure of the answer.

She has received her spouse visa and has to get here before early December. Her passport with the vignette in it then got destroyed (water and tear damage) and so she got a new one issued.

This means she will be arriving with a new passport (no vignette) but the old one with the vignette in it and the question is, is this OK?

Or does she need to ensure the new passport has a vignette?
