Passport Expiry at time of Extension FLR M

Hi All,

my husband’s FLR M visa expires on 1/4/23. We are currently in the middle of preparing to apply for an extension.

His passport is due to expire 23/4/23. We are planning to get a new passport asap, however I was wondering do you need at least 6 months left on your passport to use that passport in the application?

Or can we use his current passport in the application and renew his passport whilst we wait?

Yes. It needs to be valid when he applies and attend his biometric appointment.
