Pay Rise, HR Employment Letter, Payslip Discrepancy

Post by abu614 » Sat Sep 11, 2021 11:35 pm

Hi

I have a bit of a niche issue here;

On the 14th January 2021, I received a pay rise from £35,500 to £38,500

However, this was not reflected until my payslip on April 2nd. My February and March payslips both still say my pay is £35,500, due to payroll making an absolute hash of processing it

On the HR system here, and on my HR letter, it states my pay from 14th January 2021 to be £38,500

On my April 2nd payslip, I received 2 months of backdated pay to account for the missed payments

Now, for my financial evidence, I need to give them 6 months of wages, and those 6 months (March 11 to September 11), include my March wage slip which states £35,500. If HO rang up and asked for wage confirmation for 6 months, they would be told the figure of £38,500 even though my payslip doesn't reflect this until April 2nd.

What do I do here for financial evidence? Do I put £38,500 and explain the backdated pay? Do I put £35,500?

Kind Regards

£38,500 and ask your employer to explain your employment letter what went wrong with your payslips to prevent caseworker from having doubts about your income.
