She had a valid US visa from 8 August 2008 until 6 August 2018, but had never travelled to the USA. She accompanied her sister and mother to renew their US visa in August 2018, but her sister unbeknown to her had overstayed her visa in the USA, and subsequently had their US visa renewals rejected. The officer at the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia said he felt it would be inappropriate to approve my wife’s US visa renewal at the same time as denying her sister and mother. We have contacted the US Embassy and requested a letter to clarify the situation to submit with her UK Spouse Visa application, ie my wife was not at fault, but they have said they are unable to do so an that my wife is free to reapply for a US visa if she wishes.
Will this have any bearing on her UK Spouse Visa?
Thanks in advance.
