Accommodation Requirement

Post by adkh2_1 » Wed Jul 04, 2018 5:58 pm

Hi Guys,

I will applying for my wife's spouse visa later this month. I have 1 year old daughter as well but daughter has been granted with a passport already.

I am living on my own in a one bedroom flat, I have all the bills on my name and I also have 1 person discount on council tax on my name too. This is rented property btw. The bit am not sure if 1 bedroom flat is enough for a husband and wife with a 1 year old kid.

Secondly I have tenancy agreement and proof of direct debits of rent going out of my account and estate agents letter confirming my wife can live in this flat. Do I need property survey report as well ?

Thank you in advance for your upcoming replies.

You don't need one if you occupy and rent the whole property yourself, ie not a house share.

Spouse visa Advise

Post by adkh2_1 » Sat Jul 14, 2018 2:24 pm

Hi Guys,

Am planning to apply for my wife's spouse visa this month, I have all the documents ready. To prove my financial requirement, I am sending 6 payslips which reflects I am earning above £18600 per year. Now few things.

These payslips are from the job I started 6 months ago. And its 2 days a week pro-rota permenant Job. But I been doing contract work for the same employer for last 3 years, which I will get the confirmation from the employer in converting letter. Confirming above.

Secondly apart from 2 days here I do contract work under limited company, pay and dividend comes into same bank account where the salary from above mentioned employer is paid. All this will be visible on bank statements.

Now 2 questions here.

1. My salary from 2-days a week full-time role is enough to fulfil the requirement of £18600. Do I need to explain why I moved from contract to full-time role ?

2. Do I need to explain to HO where the other salary and divided is coming from into my account ? BTWI am planning to write a separate covering letter with details of my limited company from where my second salary and divided is paid into my account.

HO shouldn't care about your pattern/type of contract as long as the required threshold is being met. If you can conveniently meet the financial threshold through employment then HO won't care about your other incoming income. Ideally you shouldn't try to attach any financial document of your self employment/limited company except the ones relating to your job giving sufficient income.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thank you for clearing this. I thought so as well. As long as I met the requirements. Finally whats you opinion on length of Job, some people saying if its only 6 months in current Job they might question, technically they shouldn't according to their requirements 6 months minimum, which has been met.

In my opinion built from official guideline it won't cause any trouble regardless of what role you are doing as long as you are with your employer from at least 6 months. But your employer must mention your present role/title of job and if possible then may mention your previous role too.

Yes my employer has mentioned in Official Job offer that 'having successfully worked with me since 2015 as sub-contractor he is happy to welcome me as a full-time Employee". Secondly I work for a tech company, so i have a lots of online proofs in shape of web and app working on my name for current employer dating back 2 years. I could include that too ?

BioMetrics and sending supporting Documents

Post by adkh2_1 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:50 am

Hi Guys,

can anybody kindly explain the process after Biometrics please ? My wife will have her Biometrics soon. Does she needs to send me any document or paper from Biometric centre ?

Or I just need to quote the GWF number of her application on all my supporting documents.

Secondly I receive my payslips via email as pdf and Salary comes into my Bank which I am going to send both payslips and bank statements reflecting the salaries. Do I need to get my payslips signed by my employer ?

The electronic payslips need to be stamped/signed by your employer.

Where you send documents and what documents etc, depends on where you are applying. The online process of visa application will tell you what to do.

Thank you,

My wife is applying in Pakistan and I am sending the documents to Sheffield. I am based in London.
I have rough idea what to send, and will read the documents for supporting documents. Am just not sure about
wether I need anything from day of appointment at visa centre. Because that would mean waiting for my wife to send that document.

You have about 20 days to submit the supporting documents. It does not have to be submitted at the same time in the UK as the biometrics in Pakistan.

Sanity Checking

Post by adkh2_1 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 10:05 pm

Hi Guys,

I am applying for spouse visa on basis of 6 months payslips. Just to be sure my Gross monthly income is

£1566.67. So that makes it (6*1566.67)*2 = 18,792.

Am i right to think I fulfil the requirements on salary basis ?

It is not necessary to keep starting new topics with each question you have on the same application. Topics Merged again.

Hi Guys,

To proof the relationship, I am sending weddings pics, fights back home, btw we have a child who has been granted Passport last year, and call logs from whatsapp.

is that going to be enough ? I am not really comfortable sending private whatsapp messages.
