My timeline

Post by nahnah » Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:38 pm

Hi everyone, i have been posting in this forum

  • ILR Processing Timelines - postal app. (excluding 10/14 yr.)

and only came across this topic today which I believe i should be using.....many others on set m have also been using the above forum however...but here goes my timeline....

ILR SET(M) applied through my solicitor who

--Posted application via special delivery on the 13th September
--Received by UKBA on the 14th September
--Acknowledgment dated 16th September and received on the 20th September
--Money taken out....don't know exactly when as I paid by Banker's Draft
--Currently in my 10th week.....going on to 11th week

well good luck to everyone and let's keep up the hope......

This will be an interesting comparison. Almost identical submission dates. Please post back and let everyone know when you get it. I will do the same.

Acknowledgement: (dated) 13/10/2011 (received) 19/10/2011
Fee Taken: 13/10/2011 (according to Credit Card statement)
Result: ?????

Waiting 3 weeks so far. Average for SET (M) seems to be about 10. Good Luck.
Above is my original post

Glad to hear some people are getting passports back. I'm at 7 weeks and still waiting. Straight forward application for me, but I have my doubts I'll get it before xmas, as 10wks is the 23rd!

Does anything think the strike is going to effect times at all?

Looks like a few people have received good news news today! Got my wife's Visa/Passport through the post today, took exactly 12 weeks.

Visa: ILR
ILR Sent: 08/10/11
ILR Delivered: 11/10/11
Fee Taken: 12/10/11
Acknowledgment Letter Received: 12/10/2011
Passport stamped: 20/12/2011
Passport Received: 31/12/2011 via 2nd class post which I found suprising!!

Ours was a straight forward case, I'd advise that if you are a worrier or have travel plans apply directly, otherwise why waste £400, use the postal service.

Good Luck to everyone else, next stop citizenship, PM me if you have any questions.

Happy New Year!!!

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... tiontypes/

This link should be your first port of call to find out what application type you need and what docs you require, you can apply for ILR 1 month before your 2nd anniversary on entering the UK.

Post by kalamazoo » Wed Jan 23, 2013 9:40 am

If this help anyone... I sent my application SET(M) on 10th sept 2012 and received it on 22nd january 2013. Maybe the Chirstmas break caused some delays but it took 19 weeks.

My application was expedited:

UKBA agreed to expedite my application on the 15/01/2013 I got my DLR extension confirmed on the 21/01/2013 just waiting for delivery.

When you call 0870 606 7766 ask for the fax number for the family caseworker unit and send a cover letter with proof why your application should be expedited

Visa Processing Times

Post by SalmanS.Zafar » Mon Jan 28, 2013 5:30 pm

DEAR ALL,

The VISA PROCESSING TIME is as following -

EEA Application made inside the United Kingdom: 3 Months from the date of application.

Any other visa application made inside the United Kingdom: 6 months from the date of application.

These visa processing time as advised by the UK Border Agency themselves and are a guidance to caseworkers.

If your application is taking longer then the visa processing time, you should chase up the UK Border Agency. How can you chase up the UKBA? There are various ways... Ask if you wish to know!

Best of Luck peeps x
