Settlement application for a child who was born and currently outside of UK

Hello everyone,

My wife and myself have both got settlement status now, and want to apply settlement for our son, who was born and has been living outside of UK. This will be his very 1st visa to enter the UK. While we filling the application, the website directs us to the Immigration health surcharge website, and it asked for IHS reference No. and current visa expiry date. We only got a IHS No. five years ago when I applied for my work visa. Since I’m on settled status, how should I fill in the expiry date?

I tried the end date of current BRP card when finishes by 31/12/2024, and it asked for $905 to be paid. I was told/also stated on the website that settlement application should not pay any immigration health surcharge, and is that correct?

Thanks for your question. As mentioned in the post title, child was born outside of UK and has been living aboard. This will be his very first UK VISA and I’m applying for him under path of settlement of Non-British child of parents who are settled in the UK.

You are required to pay ihs otherwise you are not able to progress with the application.

The expiry date of your brp is irrelevant.
