raz1979 wrote:Hi people,

Following on from my conversation with BHC Mumbai 2 weeks ago, i sent a followup email last friday requesting to know what is happening. This morning my wife received a phonecall from BHC Mumbai asking her to bring in her passport with a photocopy of my full passport. They have told her the appeal decision has been overturned.

Finally some good news!! Its been 10 weeks yesterday into the 19 week deadline and the ECM still had till 03/01/2013 to make a decision.

Good luck to those still waiting :)
congratulations........................!!!!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the messages.

My wife went to BHC today in Bandra, has handed over her passport and photocopy of my passport. She wasnt asked any questions, was only in there for 5 mins. They will send her passport back to her address within 2 weeks.

The only thing im not sure about now is the TB requirement. I've heard all new applications since August require a TB certificate. As our application was back in April im not sure whether she needs to go to an approved centre for the test.

Any one know if the new rules apply to us.

Hi

The number i rang for the appeals team at BHC Mumbai is 0091 2266502181. The email address is the standard one mumbai.visaenquiries@fco.gov.uk

They never emailed me back but the fact that my wife got a phonecall means they must have recieved my email.

Hi,

I only got through and got a number because i enquired with a specific reason. I asked for the original document to be returned to me. If i was enquiring about how long the appeal would take then they would just give a standard answer or tell me to email them. Plus with my enquiry the guy on the phone has no choice but to put me through as i asked him for the procedure to request original documents back from BHC, this is also not on the UK Border Agency website.

You now haven't got long so dont worry. Mine was straight forward case of a missing document not sure if urs is a complicated one.

Hi,

The reason they won't tell you anything is because they are only discuss the appeal with the applicant or the representative. You've said you have a barrister so they will be ur legal representative.

I was my wifes representative thats why they discussed the case with me.

I hope they do talk to ur husband but i dont think they will.

They have the full time to make their decision and they wont rushed.

Never know miracles do happen.
