( http://www.path2usa.com/forum/showthrea ... n-BlueDart)

If you're trying to track your passport's delivery after VFS handed it over to Blue Dart, you can

go to the blue dart website and under 'Track your shipment' select 'Ref no' and enter your passport

number.

It gives you the details on the shipment and the expected delivery date. It also allows you to set

up email alerts for the delivery.

ps - Their system is case sensitive so enter your passport number in ALL CAPS.

Post by ruch123 » Sun May 22, 2011 2:01 pm

Hi,
Its nice to find this thread as its a relief to know that this wait time is not abnormal.

Application date : 3/24/2011
Applied from Hyderabad VFS.
Status: Visa application is under process at the British High Commission.

I was hoping that i would hear something sooner as my husband is a British National. I hope all my documentations are correct as I haven't been called for any interview or sort. Just have my fingers crossed that my visa is processed and granted soon..its been 2 months now.

Is that for your wife? I assume you are a UK national?

So frustrating all this waiting time! I might call the High Commision and tell them it has been 52 working days now

NARIC accreditation takes more than 15 days

Post by ruch123 » Tue May 24, 2011 9:04 am

1. Hi fbacker \others, Where did you the information that UK NARIC verification takes more than 15 days?
I have submitted my Degree certificates (Original) and Point Based calculator screen shots showing that i get full 10 points. Is it compulsory to submit a letter from your university stating that the medium of education was English? I mean if your university lists in the Point Based Calculator tool, isn't it obvious that the medium of education was English?

2.Also, I have submitted quite a huge no of photographs and chat logs, can that be causing the delay? I thought that those documents were just for scanning purpose and not detailed go through stuff.

3. My husband recently changed his job in April and is now working for a different company. The documents we have submitted states his prior company(A) as the employer( as during the time of submission he was still employed with company A). Can that cause any sort of hindrance to the application?

Thanks

called the BHC, Mumbai today.

Answer is......you have to wait for the decision to be taken. Told them its been more than 50 days. Answer again......you have to wait, it generally takes upto 12weeks.
Asked them what do I do if i dont hear even after 12week. Answer......you have to wait till a decision is made.

BTW, i got them on the phone after trying continuously for 2hours.

@ ruch123- the turn-around time is mentioned on UK NARIC's website as 15 days( not guaranteed)

The turnaround time for the English Language Assessment is 15 working days from the date of receipt of all required documentation and payment. Please note that this timeframe does not include delivery time and cannot be guaranteed. In some cases, such as those requiring additional research, the process may take longer and the applicant will be informed.

http://www.naric.org.uk/index.asp?page=210

If it is not confirmed by UK NARIC, it states that you have to submit the degree certificate + Evidence that the degree was taught in English.

Here is the excerpt from UKBA website for qualifying the english language requirement:

How do I meet the new requirement using my degree taught in English?
The applicant can meet the language requirement if they;
(A) have obtained an academic qualification (not a professional or vocational qualification), which is deemed by UK NARIC (the National Recognition Information Centre for the UK) to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s degree in the UK, from an educational establishment in one of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda; Australia; the Bahamas; Barbados; Belize; Dominica; Grenada; Guyana; Ireland; Jamaica; New Zealand; St Kitts and Nevis; St Lucia; St Vincent and the Grenadines; Trinidad and Tobago; the UK; the USA; and provides the specified documents;

or
(B) have obtained an academic qualification (not a professional or vocational qualification) which is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor's degree in the UK, and
(1) provides the specified evidence to show he has the qualification, and
(2) UK NARIC has confirmed that the academic qualification was taught or researched in English,

or

(C). have obtained an academic qualification (not a professional or vocational qualification) which is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor's degree in the UK, and provides the specified evidence to show:
(1) s/he has the qualification, and
(2) that the qualification was taught or researched in English

Hope this helps
