Introduction of Biometric Residence Permits for visa applicants
The link to the article is http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/pdf/Bi ... 030415.pdf
From 15 April 2015, Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) for non-EEA nationals travelling to the
UK for more than six months will begin to be issued to visa applicants in India. The changes will
affect those applying to join family in the UK, as well as students and workers applying for a
longer stay visa

Is anyone affected by this - have they got a vignette rather than a visa stamped and asked to collect BRP from the PostOffice?

My Partner Partner applied on 10 April and got Visa on 12 May - she got a visa in her passport till Feb 2018
we did not get any letter mentioning this - I guess we were not affected as the date says after 15 April assuming this is the date of the applicaion and not the visa granted date?
