Hey Piya,

Do you have stamping date on your visa, Do you mind sharing that.

Any hint from docs or stamping date to know the time frames of processing.

Just getting curious to know why it takes too long in Chennai

I guess the visa date is generally one day before the day you receive the email from chennai BHC.

Hello Every One,
Could you please help.
Filled up online application for settlement visa for my wife and 7 yrs daughter. My wife travelled to UK earlier once. Now i have British citizenship.
While booking slots, home office website is showing options like FAST TRACK.
my question is -
1) Can we choose FAST TRACK for settlement visas?
2) How to pay money for FAST TRACK separately, as home office website is showing following msg.
Important information: there is an additional fee associated with this appointment type. You must pay this fee before you attend the Visa Application Centre on the VFS website at www.vfsglobal.co.uk/global. Failure to do so will invalidate your appointment.

I am applying from Banglore for Chennai BHC

Please advise immediately..
Thank you.
Manish

hi Manish,

i dont think there is fast track service for settelement visas in india. That is only for visitir visa. Also, once applied, you cannot track the application, have to wait until they email you stating that it is processed.

Hi Piya786,

Thank you for your reply.
I have British Passport. My wife & child has Indian passport.
As part of documentation for Financial support which form should be used for child?
is it Appedix 1 form or Appendix 2 form?
As i know Appendix 2 is for Spouse. For child which form?

Best Regards,
Manish

wife collected today as she was out of town.

my visa was very complex case will share details tomorrow.
Complexity Explained:
1. First time I applied wife visa in Aug 2014 without Marriage Certificate and X ray.
Marriage Affidavit instead of Marriage Certificate.

After hearing nothing for 2 month i withdrew the application.

2. Applied again In Oct 2014 in Non Settlement category Marriage Visa to avoid 60 days long wait.
HO Rejected the Application based on flimsy ground in 1 week.

3. In Dec went to India got Marriage registered and applied with Marriage Certificate.
Also i am director of Ltd company and to meet Income Threshold i have at rely on Dividends and Sal.

Wife was having Degree which was available on PBS calculator but we are not having document from UK NARIC due to time constraint.
SO just submitted original degree and PBS Calculator print out.

In Parallel in UK I had applied for my British Citizenship which got approved before wife visa processing date.
Sent email to case worker asking can i go for Oath Ceremony which will change my Immigration status from Indian + ILR to British.
Case Worker replied i can do that in diplomatic way, i reply that as 41 day already passed i would prefer to wait.
Finally after 44 day spouse visa came.

It was long and Painful Journey.

This week took Oath finally.

Hi Piya,

Can you please help me to answer what questions in section 1 and section 2 of Appendix2 form should be filled for a child of 8 years old. I know section 3 is Mandatory since it is financial..
Confused about questions given in Section 1 and 2 which are related to spouse/partner mostly..
Kindly answer ASAP.

Thank you.

HI Manish,

All questions in appendix 2 needs to be filled. Only for the PART 3 financial requirements you need to fill in the correct category depending on if your self employed, salaried or cash savings.
