No birth certificate is not required.

No but you need an attested copy of your passport.

Yes but it is advisable to use good quality photo paper.

A1 then TB, biometrics are done at the VAC on the day the applicant submits the paperwork.

I'd recommend you read batleykhan's post which has most of the info you need. The link is in his signature.

Quick question here.

Does anyone know where to go to get the Nikah Nama translated in Islamabad/Rawalpindi?

Also, once it is translated, does it have to be stamped by the union council that stamped the original Nikah or can someone else do it?

Thanks

Al masoom services in Aabpara market.
translation of nikahnama doesnt need to be attested, the translator has to state that its a true copy and sign it.
where u getin your nikahanama attested from? i was told byGerry's to get it done from CDA.

Does that mean that any place can get it translated?

Also what do you mean by attested, is that not the same as getting it stamped by the local union council?

Or What if I have fixed term deposit bond etc, what is the best option that would help application?
I think you will find these fixed term accounts allow you to withdraw early losing all interest, so are acceptable.

If it is a genuine "locked" no way to withdraw that may be acceptable too, depending on the term length.

No u have to make sure that the translator's registered.
Islamanabad doesn't have any union council, my nikkah was done here so instaed of a union council CDA attests the nikahnama. That's what Gerry's have told me.

Ah OK. Our Nikah was outside of Islambad/Rawalpindi and the area has a union council so the Nikah has been registered with them and stamped.

Any documents submitted which are not original should be attested copies. Good to know you still got the visa but it's an easy requirement to fulfil so In my opinion it's a must.

Attested copy of passport is definitely adequate. It shows the sponsor is a British citizen and is a form of identification.

Attested Passport copies are essential. I was told by my solicitor when I originally applied.

Right guys, I wanted to know since my hubby's visa was refused back in September 2011, we have appealed as many of your are aware. I am now gathering evidences to prove that my hubby and I are in a genuine relationship etc. We are collecting recent bills, emails almost everyday, greeting cards as time is getting near etc just incase I have to go hearing. I wanted to know do we present these evidences/proof in court? (These evidences are dated after refusal.. as I dint have them before).

How does the procedure work?
:? :? :? :?

Thanks for your help.

its like someone else said on the forums- its just luck as to how closely they will scrutinise the communication requirement. i just sent mobile bills which comprised over a duration of five months and that was deemed acceptable

Itemised mobile phone bills and land line bills showing the spouses' phone number dialled directly is good evidence of communication.

Bills showing an access number being dialled is not deemed to be evidence of communication because it doesn't prove the spouse was contacted. Although you could try contacting the calling card company to see if they can provide you a call itemisation although this is unlikely. Cards and access numbers have been accepted in the past but less so nowadays.

Although more expensive, the evidence of communication is much better if you direct dial.

Money transfer receipts are always good.

I don't want to put a dampener on things but can new evidence be used in an appeal as opposed to additional evidence dated before the refusal?
