Hi Niraj -NAJRAJ wrote:Hi All,
My husband submitted his settlement application on 15th June 2009 at Islamabad.
No news yet but these are the responses I have received so far:
FROM: visa.abudhabi@fco.gov.uk
Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for your email. This type of application is lodged in Pakistan and processed in the UK. I have checked on the status of your application and can confirm that your application is currently being processed and a decision will be made shortly.
Please do not contact Gerry’s directly about this as they will contact you when your paperwork is ready for collection.
Please forward any future settlement enquiries to ukhub.pakistangeneralenquiries@fco.gov.uk.

My office has contacted the Border Agency UK Visa Section, which has
advised that your husband's application is awaiting determination. The British High Commission receives, I am told, between 500-600 applications per week, which results in the determination period often being longer than the twelve weeks claimed on the website.

Insha'Allah we will hear some news soon.

Hi TOPGUN,TOPGUN wrote:Was n buzzy,
My wife just email her local MP and he replied that he have email UKBA regarding my case and he will let her know when he gets any reply from them. I dont think you need to fill any form for it. Just search your local MP email id and email them. You can find their email address through this website.
http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/
Just type your postal code and you will find your local MP.

Hi TOPGUN,TOPGUN wrote:bazzy,
Mine was an appeal case. I re-submitted my passport on 12 June 2009 from Karachi. It would be 14 weeks by the end of this Friday.
Was,
I hope it will work in this way. MP have sent my wife a letter last week saying that he have e-mailed UKBA and will write to her when he gets any reply from them.
Hi,TOPGUN wrote:bazzy,
I don't know why they refused initially. They were satisfied with everything accept my wife's income. THAT WAS REALLY A STUPID STATEMENT AND REASON. They said my wife's income was below 70 Pounds per week as for spouse settlement their criteria is 95 pounds a week, but my wife was and still earning almost 300 pounds a week, because my wife is a permanent primary school assistant teacher, and at the time of my application she was earning 1100 Pounds a month after all tax deduction. We gave them three months salary slips plus bank statement of her own savings of around 10,000 Pounds since 2007 in her personal account. her parents mortgage and accounts statement. She lives with her parents and they have a four bedroom house. Her parents signed on the declaration stated that they don't have any problem if we both live in their house for free and her solicitor gave the certificate which proves that the house is not over crowded. We gave each and every single document for the proof, but they wanted to refuse so they refused.

I have recently been made redundant, i got married in Pakistan last year my wife is currently 20, will be 21 in February next year when i was planning to apply for her Settlement Spousal Visa
However, for the Visa requirements is it imperative to provide 6 months continuous payslips from your employment?? - I am pretty confident i will find a job by the end of the year as jobs in my field are picking up, however say by February 2010 i only have 2-3 months of payslip would this be sufficient. I have over 25k saved in my bank account and own my own property and have received my P45 detailing what i earned over the last year and tax i have paid and have 12 months payslips from September 2009
Your help would be greatly appreciated
