Hi Kayani,

Thanks for the info, it seems one way or another my wife will have to re-do her TB test. I think batley khan is right better done sooner then later. If we can get it done asap then it can be handed to BHC straigh away.
Regards,

Baz

Salaam Layla..

My husband went without the call from gerrys so perhaps if its not far from your husbands house he should make that visit.

After our online status changed, my wife went down without a phone call the next day (if you discount the fact Gerry's was closed for a week for Eid).

They are rejecting around 40% of settlement cases though. UKBA are pathologically, compulsively and obssessively paranoid/delusional about forced marriages. For sure be stern but allow the genuine cases through.

Sadhi, I don't know the real reasons behind this, but please see page 75, official 2008-2009 visa statistics, Pakistan Settlement cases, one of the highest refusal rates in the world, lol. UKBA are outrageously notorious when it comes to dealing with Pakistan Settlement cases, they take no prisoners. See link below please.

When the Conservatives seize power then we're all doomed. They'll raise the marriage age to over 30 and it will take a generation to gain citizenship.

I bet this article will not help any of our visa with BHC, regardless of how genuine our marriage is.

Salaam
Inshallah im going pakistan on 20th of this month, I got married earlier this year on April 4th, my wifes medical is on the 9th in lahore an hopefully she will have her date to submit her application on or around the 15th oct so jus a few days before i arrive, after reading pages and pages for hours on end on this forum, its jus amzing how much info is available here, but yet its still so worrying after hearing so many peoples stories of how hard an harsh the process is.
Im not going to have much hope or hold my breath but i plan to be in pakistan for around 3 months so i am praying that we will inshallah have my wifes decision back by then an by some miracle she can travel back with me, i have prepared everything to the best of my abiltiy but still dont feel very confident in the whole process, as i was very confident thinkng i had covered every aspect an my best friends mate is a top immigration lawyer here in the Uk who has checked everything thoroughly, and felt the application was very very good but have now realised after reading on here that The ECO's who make the decisions can pick up on any little reason or excuse for refusal if they want to, an then u have no choice but go thru a huge waiting game.

Inshallah i will keep everyone posted as to my wifes application from begining to end and maybe this will be of use to some people as i have found so many useful things on here from other people, may allah help grant everyone a succesfull result in all their applications.

Salaam to all, just want to say im new on here an im at the first stage of starting the whole process so inshallah it all goes well,

After seeing the generosity of so many people on here willing to help an give advice i thought it wud be helpful to ask if anyone cud pick any wholes or criticisize or advice me of wat to or not to do with regards to my app, as im sending all my papers in few days to my wife for her date at Gerrys on or around the 15th october.
Below is a brief breakdown of all my supporting docs.

*Soilcitors covering letter summarising the whole application with regards
to me an my status here etc,
* Copies of my UK passport an entry an exit stamps of earlier this year - attested by solicitor here in UK
* Copies of mum an dads passports to show when they came earlier #
before calling me over to arrange the marraige a few weeks before i
went to pakistan
* Nikaahnaama marriage certificate in english an urdu with copies
* Mortgage letter for my house confirms amount an no arrears an how
much each month, mortgage is only £300 per month
* Land registry to prove i own my property
* Letter from my dads accountant to show that im employed full time for
my dads company
* Last 4 months wage slips showing gross of £2000 per month an my take
home pay is around £1500
* Last 4 months bank statement but these arent originals they were
produced from the bank as i havent been recieving my originals for
months dues to a banking error an they were showing the wrong door
number for my address, but today i got my bank manager to write a
covering letter with the statements they printed in the branch for me
an stamped each one with todays date as well as the covering letter to
verify they have been produced an requested as of today
* Bank statements show around £6000 in account also show last 3
months wages that have come in which were paid in as cheques as i
was getting paid in cash before so now they tie up with the wage slips
also shows the mortgage coming out each month for las 3 months
* Solicitors House survey letter to show house will be not over crowded
as it will only be me an wife living there an its a 3 bed house
* Proofs of address: Credit card statements, Gas Electricity water bills,
council tax letter
* Proof of tickets purchased and airfare itinerary copies for me an my
mum to show we are going pakistan on 20th october so i will be visiting
my wife
* Evidence of contact, emails, eid cards, my itemised phone bills from t-
mobile for last 2 months an lebara for last 3 months as these are much
cheaper than calling cards for me plus many calling cards which i used
initially, my only doubt with these is that they are printed as e-bills from
the internet as i dont have any paper bills an all the itemisation is now
done through electronic billing through the relevant companies websites
so u have to print them off yourself
* I have a DVD of the Nikaah wedding day an many many pictures of pre- engagement when my mum an dad first went round, plus wedding day
photos 500+ all on cd plus about 30 printed out selected from the whole
set, my wedding day was a very rushed an low key affair an i had to
rush back to the uk only a week after the wedding (is this a bad point?)

My doubts are that from my wifes side there is isnt much contact evidence apart from the emails for last 4 months that i have printed off an it was always me doing the calling from here, so she wont have any fone evidence on her part, the fact that i was only there for a short amount of time after wedding? which is why im going for a much longer period now.
I bought an sent her many eid an birthday gifts recently, one in particular a £400 bracelet for which i have the reciept for from here in the uk, should i send this in? an ask her to take pics of the bracelet in its box which clearly shows its been bought from the shop here in UK as the name is on the outside of the box, would this be a wise move or a waste of time ?

Sorry about the long message, any help or advice or info wud be much much appreciated, as i hope others may also learn an benefit from the process we are about to go through over next few months an i will be keeping my whole application journey updated on here regularly even when im in pakistan in few weeks, if anyone else is going pakistan in next few months wud love to hear from u too......

Thank You.

Your employed by your dad's company and your bank statements are printouts (bank managers letter should help but no gaurantee), where is your P60? These are the concerns I have. ECOs are unforgiving, mercilus and inhumane barbaric savages.

Relationship wise, I think your okay, but you need some post wedding snaps. Why the delay in the application? You've been married since April.
I don't think they accept DVDs anymore, they don't have the reserve time to watch guests hovering up food (or wiping their hands on your cashmere curtains, stealing your prized paanday/murghis, or riding your gadha etc) the photos should suffice.

Her wearing the bracelet pictures fine, but the evidence is circumstantial, the bracelet could be from anyone, unless you have it engraved with your undying love.

Batley bhaiya thanks for signposting the article, lol.

Well done Asif. You and your family have thought over and planned everything very carefully.

I doubt whether you will have any problem in getting your wife a visa,

It is a pity some of the other people here dont do the same, as it will save them a lot of hassle later on.

All docs seem fine,I wont bother sending your parents spassport and the bracelet bit.I think it will be overkill.

Remember they only look at your application once and then make a decison, so if you have all the neccesary docs there,it should caus eno problem.

Let us know how you get on.

Batley bhaiya thanks for signposting the article, lol.
First of all thanks for the reply, which was a very swift one indeed, i was just amazed how u guys find the time and are so helpful,

as for my bank statements they are the next best thing to the originals, not jus crap printoutouts, the actual ledger copy printouts from the branch with a bank managers covering letter on barclays letter headed paper explaining everything an all ink stamped, do u think they will be okay in ur opinion?

married since april but making application now as its taken this long for my wife to sort her Nadra ID card an passport out an she only got all these things done up until a few weeks as well as her medical being on the 9th of this month, im sure u know how it is in pakistan, but i didnt think i had left it too long since its only been 6 months since wedding am i wrong in assuming this ?

as for my p60 this is my main worrying concern, to be honest i dont have one yet as i only started work in June, should i put the correct date of employment start on her App form? can i ask my dads accountant for a p60? or is this soemthing u only get at the end of the year ?
am i right to be worried as ive only been employed officially for last 4 months? or shud i go onto explian this further in additional info that i was sort of self employed in my dads business as up until now i havent mentioned anywhere in the application that its my dad who i work for, just stated the company name etc

truth is ive been working in my dads business for past few years an he did all the tax side of things as he is self employed an im sure u know how it is when it comes to family business's, u just work, no questions lol, so i only went onto the books officially since june hence why i only have last 4 months wage slips, but i havent been on any public funds for over 5-6 years an i have heard that u can go to the job centre an get some sort of letter to confirm this to say u are not or have not been on any public funds, is this right ?

will they at least accept the DVDs or at least accept the cd with all the photos on it ? or is it better to send printouts, if so how many do u think ?

as for post wedding snaps i dont have any as my whole wedding affair was a very rushed low key affair, as originally my parents went pakistan just to look an then all of a sudden i was summoned to pakistan lol it was such a last minute rush job all done within 3 weeks an i was only there for a few days after the wedding with my wife before i had to come back to the uk, so we planned all to return in october time in time to sort all paperwork out on both sides an then be able to spend some proper time with her over next few months

Surely from the pain an heartache they create in the time they take to assess an application, u wud assume they wud find 5 mins to quickly flick through a Cd with photos on a PC an maybe quickly browse thru a dvd, as one wud assume these things wud be vital evidence, in terms of family members an numbers attended an the whole wedding setup on the day, to be able to make it easier to distinguish genuine weddings, as it can be quite clear an evident from 500+ photos of before an after ceremonies an DVD if it is genuine wedding or not, instead of just a few photo printouts

sorry for the essay again, its just so much worrying an so many questions that u know if ur doing every thing right or not, thanks for all ur help

Thank u so much for ur reply bruv, feels a little bit better knowing that mostly everything is okay, having read thru the forums an especially this thread for last few weeks it just amzing how much u can learn wiht the help of such generous people out there,

i will definitely keep everyone updated with the progress once she submits her application in few weeks, as ill be in pakistan for few months too but i dont think ill be rushing to check up as im sure im going to have minimum 8-12 week wait before anything proper happens, will just try an enjoy the time with the wife
