salam guys thanks for the reply we r still waiting its the same news PHONE BACK IN 3 DAYS ETC its doing ma heading an the worst am sat in the uk an can only ring but they useless tho, i hav heard some time they stamp the visa but dnt tell ppl till later, any more news on your case TKHAN.XXX

Assalamu Alaikum all,

In a lot of cases they do put the visa in the Pakistani Passport, it then sits in their outwork tray for anything upto 15-working days.

The only reason, I know is that a friend of a friend used to work in the BHC in Islamabad.

So it does happen, just bureaucracy unfortunately!

I congratulate you for success of ur hsuband sposue visa. I NEED To APPLY too and i have a daugther too dua for us too. these days i m in a process of completing the documents. I want to know abt SPONSORSHIP UNDERTAKIGN FORM SU /07 which i downloaded from UK VISA WEBSITE i want to know i need to attest it too from solicitor or not. UR ADIVSE IS IMPROTANT FOR ME... AND ALSO please tell me this form consist of 2 pages, the scond page is marked as for official use. SO I need to keep it blank for ECO right>>>??

i submitted the case on the 27th of march in the mirpur gerry office and still aint heard anything dont know what to expect.... a couple of friends who submitted it after me at islamabad embassy heard y'day dat they got the visa marshallah am still worried... inshallah c what happens lets pray for the best...

i keep checking the website www.ukvacpk.com but always the same thing as day 1....what is the number you call cuz i still dont get connected for some reason...

i wish they'd jus speed up the boat, anyway wish you the best of luck

hi zara hows u doing, hey babe dont worry inshallah u will get it its all in allahs hand now i phone BHC in islamabad, hun 0092512098999 babe, but its all ways the same thing phn back in a few days, its getting annoying tho now well i am flying out in a few days any way so jopefully i pray that she gets the visa whilst i am der as she is due aswell, its a pain in the mule tho, my duas r with u huni and every1 else who is in the same boat,...xxxxx

My hubby too got his visa, we both got back on thursday together

We submitted our case on the 26th of March and kept calling and were told on the 29th of april to collect passport. Visa was stasmped on the 23rd of april. I supose it takes a week for the embassy to send it back the Gerry branch. I am over the moon

It dont matter how you check it, we went to mirpur branch, they just check it on the net but mostly we called and a few times checked the net.

2. will they cal us both for interview?
3. is it better to apply with him or shld apply for mine first?

There is no set amount of how much you need to have in your bank account before you apply for a visa. You just need to show that you have sufficient funds to support both you and your husband without having to claim any public support, such as benefits etc. The best way you can do this is by doing a monthly budget and show all your income and outgoings (supported with bank statements) and detailing how much "spare" cash you have remaining after paying the essentials like bills, mortgage, food, etc.

What Visa are you applying for? What is your nationality and that of your husband?

we are pakistanis and i have received my hsmp approval on 7th may and will be applying for EC in sept after gettin married in august. engaged at the moment. husband is looking for a job right now in pakistan if he doesn till EC will that be a problem?

Zaynab - I had 3k worth of savings in my account which had been built up from 6 months. I have heard that even if you have 600+ savings you can get the visa, as long as you can provide for yourself and your partner you will be fine.

The Home Office actually believe that 7.5k is a sufficient sum to survive in the UK for one calendar year.

My husband has over £9,000 in savings in his account in Pakistan, and his visa was still refused...its all BS.

hi.hope sombody can help!!!!!!!!!my husband submitted his application on the 15th of april 2008 in islamabad fedex..but every time he calls all thy say is ring after two days,,his getting sick of it and so am i,,,Help!!tried calling them in islambad and all ive been advised is to keep checking on the website,,ive tryed doin that and all i get is invalid search,,,when i called them they said call after two days still in progress,,,advised my hubby to go down,,but y is it tking so long??????

GO ON THEIR WEBSITE AND ENTER YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER I.E. YOURS WILL BE>>>ISB/150408/******/*<<< THE FIRST SIX DIGITS IS WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION, IN YOUR CASE. 15 APRIL 08. AND ALSO THE DATE OF BIRTH OF APPLICANT. IM ALSO GETTING THE SAME MESSAGE SOME PEOPLE ARE O.K AND WORKS FINE AND SOME PEOPLE GET INVALID SEARCH. MY ADVISE GO DOWN TO VAC AND CHECK FOR YOURSELF.I THINK READING OTHER POST IT TAKES AROUND 5 WEEKS BEFORE THEY LET YOU KNOW.

Don't worry mate your not the only one. My hubby submitted his application on the 14th April 2008 from Lahore Office. He hasn't heard anything. He calls Gerry's office all they say is call back in 2 days. I'm really getting fed up too. Don't know when we will get a response. Please update me of your progress.

Im in exactley the same situation as both of you

My husband submitted his case on the 15th April at Mirpur and was told to call back in 10 - 15 days
(lol they make me laf)

He went back after 17 days and was told that the passport was still with BHS in Islamabad and was told to check the website. We both check the website day in day out, don't know how often it gets updated but it comes up with same msg all the time.
Also when we ring up we get told to call back in 2 days time which really wids me up.........

I sent a E-mail to peepz in Islamabad and asked them to update me on the proccess of the application , but i got told
"they couldn't release information to a third party without the written consent of the applicant"

So if you peepz here nything keepme posted and i'll let you know if i hear enything...!!!

not heard anything as ov yet...!but huby goin tomoro ..im sooo streesed,,honestly,,off work for a week jus with stress,,wat a sham....!! i heard that passports r ere and thy jus sat two more days ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!i spoke to sum1 at gerrys and thy where like er we r so dumb!!!!!!!!we submitted in islambad...and heard you gota wait in the que forv like ten hours...lol!!!let me knw guys if you hear nytin xxxxx

Hope your fine. My hubby called uk visas today and asked how often do they get the delivery of the passports from the BHC. So we can expcet our passports. They said the courier comes every day and delivers the passports so don't worry i don't know what's holding this up. I know the BHC are very busy as this is a very busy season for them.

Please make dua i'm desparate now. By the way when did you get married was it in March 2008.

Your hubby's passports here. Don't stress mate have you checked the www.ukvacpk.com website to see if it says passport ready for collection. i'm gonna scream now cuz where's my husbands passport.

Yes i got married 16th March and we submitted the case 15th April.

When did you submit your application...??

I know there was a mad rush mid/end March because there were rumors about the English test coming into force 1st April to avoid that evryone applyed for their visa's

Insha-allah we will all have good news soon.
