I'd really appreciate some help in this department as im obviously new to this.

Basically, i got married in december to my husband. Im in birmingham and he's in pakistan right now. Regarding doing the form online, will i be able to fill it out online here and submit it. Then what happens? Do i have to make an appointment for him in islamabad to go and submit all the supporting docs? Or does he have to fill out the form online and make the appointment himself? And about payment, do i pay here online or does he pay over there?

Id be so grateful for a response. Thanks!
You can fill in all the forms yourself and then post them. It had cost me £45 and got to Khi within 3 days via UPS. As far as i remember he will only have to sign a hardcopy of the online form. I had filled the online form and then gave the login details to my wife which she then printed herself. The rest of the documents i sent by UPS.

Hi Sajj79 dont think the one email theory is valid anymore, BHC just send one email now and a call/text from the VAC to collect your passport. Dont worry everything will be ok and God willing you should have your visa. What was your timeline?

Nothing yet! Last week Gerrys told me they get a FedEx delivery from BHC every afternoon around 2.30-3. So that's basically around now... Hoping for a call soon!
Hope your escalation returns something positive!

Dear Group Members,

I hope you all are well. I recently got married and currently on ILR. My wife is in Pakistan and unsure of which of the below English test she should take to obtain her spouse visa

- IELTS General Training for UKVI (minimum band requried?)

OR

- IELTS Life Skills A1

I will be very grateful for a quick and firm response

Thanking you in advance

Kind Regards

Hiya Sajj79 i havent received any lol as my timeline states my application has not been assessed yet even though its been over 2 months thats why i said you are quite fortunate to have received yours this quick as i applied from khi too. If you have a look in this forum for the past year or something ppl have just been receiving one email with no suggestion in the email if a visa has been granted or not. Keep strong God willing it will be good news.

Hi guys,

My application was rejected because I didn't send in a property report. We had just sent in a letter from my father in law stating he is okay with us living there.
My husband and I have decided to appeal because they have refused us because one document is missing. We will send in the property report and hope that that they will grant me the visa. This is such a frustrating thing. They don't realize that they are playing with people's lives.
Praying that everyone else's applications are for the best.

Did you hire a solicitor to handle the applications or did you do it yourself?

You know appeals can sometimes take several months to a year or so, before a decision is made. But if you do reapply now or later, you'll have to pay the new increased visa fees + £600 NHS surcharge.

Oh my aminoacid after all this wait, so sorry to hear, what a ridiculous reason for refusal. I am sure that the list of requirements states 'ANY' one of the following a property report, a letter from the landlord. Doesnt the word 'ANY' mean that you submitted the correct documents with the letter from your father in law's letter?

Hi Guys,

My wife applied for settlement visa on but she has not heard anything useful back. I am wondering when will she be able to escalate the case to get the exact status of her application and when likely she can hear back for her application? I calculated the weeks and 12 weeks will be over on 28th April 2015.

Here is the timeline:

Type: Settlement
Application and Biometrics at Lahore: 30 Jan 2015
Received at BHC-ISB: 3 Feb 2015
First update: 4-03-2015: waiting to be assessed by ECO
Second update: 16-03-2015: waiting to be assessed by ECO
Third update: 29-03-2015: She asked to escalate the case but got a reply that its still in time scale and waiting to be assessed by ECO

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks guys for your kind words. It's tough but I'm sure this is for the best. I'm honestly just worried about how long this will take - my husbands getting immigration advice in London. If it will take too long then I'd rather just apply again.
