hi guys

just to let you know that the guide to processing times have been updated on the UKvisa website:

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/processingtimes

However it does not make very pleasent reading. apparently only around 40% of visas were granted in the 60 working day (12 week time frame).

so fustrating.

the waiting continues

Yeh, I saw that the other day. Not impressive is it???

I contacted my solicitor to let him know I am reaching the 12 week mark and he said he will e-mail them the moment its been 12 weeks.

He also mentioned another client of his that applied 2nd Feb 2010 just got his visa last week........ 4 Months.......

Looks like were gna be heading for 4 months then, might as well forget 12 weeks time frame. :(

4 months

I will be emailing them everyday after the 12 weeks are up.

they need to get this sorted cos it definitely does not take 4 months to check an application. just imagine waiting 4 months and then not getting it. that's just unfair. :x

lets hope they get things sorted

i think 4 months was probably due to the circumstances of the case. lets not get too worried or panicked.

but they should give more info on the website tracking under process is just too vague.

But if they r stating 40% in 60 days and 96% in 90 then that shows us were looking at a 4 month wait.

I know its hard, but time will fly is flying by.

Hold tight and Good Luck.

hi Harpz

have you heard anything? if not have you spoken to your solicitor?

As 12 weeks are up i've noted from other posts that they tend to give you a better response rather than the ususal 12 weeks rubbish

Thanks Jdhuphar

Can't believe dead on 12 weeks we had progress.

I am sooooo worried and praying that they do not refuse it.

They did not request a medical which is a sign that it possibly is refused.

Don't know what I am going to do with myself......

I didn't realise they had stopped medicals in India. I thought they still did them to check for TB.

If that the case then good news. but I thought they still requested them. Do you know when the decided to stop them

I did not know that either, why have they stopped?

Im sure they do, that can't be right...they have to check for TB.

All I know that if the applicant has been in the UK for a period of time prior to the submission of application then they sometimes do not request a medical.

I don't think hubby is getting the delivery today, looks like its going to Monday or Tuesday........... :?

Hi Harpz

Really sorry to hear that.

if you don't mind me asking what reason did they give? was because of his previous status in the UK or something different.

It may be reviewed when you lodge the appeal by an Entry Clearance Manager

But hang in there.

Hi Jdhuphar

The reason they have given is pretty stupid and wanted to refuse due to his immigration history so they found a fault in our documents.

They stated the applicant's marriage to the sponsor is not legal as you have not provided both your divorce certificates. (which we have)

So the marriage certificate from Jalandhar Court is not legal.

Then they mentioned his immigration history (overstay)

They wanted to refuse because of that and used our divorce certificates as an excuse.

I supplied my original decree absolute and when they prepared our marriage cert in jalandhar they have entered on their that I am divorced.

if you have done the same i don't understand why they have raised this. but the ECO have a tendency to refuse on stupid points and then you will have to appeal.

Did you give the original divorce certs and are you both divorced?

what we did is at the part where is states at the time of marriage: we did unmarried. Mistake.

Our solicitor told us get the marriage certificate amended to divorced. We did and the judge signed it.

Once we were told by jalandhar court that the database has been updated then we submitted the marraige certificate with the application knowing if BHC wanted to verify this amendment then it would be verified.
ECO said he could not see the supporting evidence that we are both divorced.

Everything is correct and in order but they wanted to refuse because of his immigration history. I gave my decree absolute and my hubby gave his divorce certificate. They saying we did not.

That seems to be something you can clarify quite quickly. In relation to his immigration history hopefully they did not say he tried to frustrate the immigration rules then under the human rights law you should have a case. especially if he left of his own accord.
