Spouse visa and uploading documents

Post by rashismart2000 » Sun Jul 14, 2019 4:18 pm

Hi All,

Reading on this forum , I can see many people face problems when uploading docs to vfs .

I wondered if this issue has been resolved? Any tips in avoiding any issues while uploading documents please?

Thank you

It became apparent to me, that any pdf files over 1mb big, could not be uploaded. The site states 10mb and VFS verbally told me it was 3mb.

But after numerous testing, it is 1mb big files. If you have the full working version of Acrobat, you can compress your pdf's. But they can only be compressed so much.

To be honest I tried this all day but assumed they are after making money, so I pay about £13 for them to scan my documents. Lets hope they do not miss any documents!!

The question is, how do you know if they have or haven't?

The whole system is flawed. They want you to fail.

Clearly it has been removed from gov.uk website but the checklist at end of application demands it. So for peace of mind I send it.

I have applied FLRM for spouse but i had option to opt for free documents scanning service of three applicants during booking appointments of biometrics at visa centre. I can still upload it but also opted documents scanning at Visa centre in case anything goes wrong

If you are applying entry clearance from Pakistan then they also offer free documents scanning at Islamabad visa centre. You need to opt for document scanning assitance before booking appointment then you would not need to upload it yourself but applicant can take all documents when go for biometric and they will scan them all

Update

My wife went to Islamabad and all documents were scanned and original docs were given back to her.

My wife thinks that the staff has scanned one side of a double side bank statements and tenancy agreement.

I am sure, ECO will need to contact us if thus is the case as vfs staff has scanned documents and they will be in the wrong.

Any suggestion please?

I recently uploaded documents for my wife's VISA extension FLR(M) on UKVCAS and did not observe any issues at all.
