I am in the process of collecting accommodation supporting documents. We are planning to stay with my parents for the time being. What is the validity of:

1. Survey report
2. Mortgage statements
3. Letter from mortgage lender
4. NOC letter from parents
5. Title deeds
Try to keep them very close to the date of application. 1&3 might even not be needed.
Do you think two months are close enough?

I contribute £500 every month to household expenses. It is a not an official agreement, it’s just to help out family. Do I have to include that in the NOC letter?

If your application says you will live at your parents house 1 is needed. 1 HAS to be within 28 days of submitting your application online

If your parents own the house you will need 4 accompanied by a 3 and 5. I dont think they need to see 2 but I could be corrected.

You dont need a letter to say you contribute to bills.

We are planning to stay with my parent's house for the time being and I am planning to get these document as a proof.

1. NOC letter from parents
2. Mortgage statement
3. Tile deeds
4. Council tax bill for 2020-21 (Parent's name)
5. Broadband bill (In my name)

In this the mortgage statement was issued in January 2020. Its an annual statement and it has transactions until 30 December 2019. Is it still acceptable?

Above documents seems suffice but try to obtain the fresh title deed as the mortgage statement is older.

Thanks again.

Can I ask who should I address NOC letter/ other letters to?

Is it 'entry clearance officer'?

Hi All,

I am in the process of filling the online application:

1. I just want to confirm whether I am using the correct form. Isn't it appendix fm partner.

2. I have to give my spouse's parent's details in one of the question. Unfortunately, my spouse's dad passed away when she was two months old and we don't have certain details such as date of birth etc. (we only know full name). We also haven't got any I.D. card/ documentation. Can you please suggest what to do in this situation.

1. https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1595506133

2. In that case to keep the application on move simply provide again the similar detail of her mother and then explain it in covering letter that why you have done that.

Thanks again Seagul.

I know that you can scan all supporting documents in VFS centre London.

Is this service still available? Do I have to make an appointment for this service or just drop in?

I tried to call them. I hadn't any luck. The number was for Canadian Immigration.

I may have to go there one day to check.

I went to VFS global (66 Wilson St, London EC2A 2JX) yesterday as I was in that area. They told me that the scanning service is not available anymore and all documents have to go to Birmingham scanning hub.

Hi all,

I nearly finished my application (however there are some questions that I skipped). There are couple of supporting documents that I need to get from work.

As you may know, IHS fees is increasing on October and I am planning to avoid paying extra money.

1.How late that I can book biometrics appointment?
2. Is it okay to have date on the correspondences/ supporting documents after the online submission date (Suppose I submitted the application on 14/9 and the date on the correspondences/ supporting documents is 20/9)?

Many thanks

You will be notified of this when you apply. It is usually about two months, or just a little over, from the date of application.

It depends. Ideally, they should be before the date of application (which is not always the online submission date).

What documents might be dated after the date of application?

Mainly the employment letter. Due to COVID-19 situation most of admin staff are not working on site. There were alot faults in the initial letter they gave me.

I am also waiting for one of the letter from bank. Hopefully it will arrive next week.

I would think it should be fine. I know of a case where the employer letter was dated after the date of application and it wasn't a problem. I wouldn't say it should be the norm though.

The last payslip as an example should definitely be dated before the date of application. Those dated after will likely just be disregarded.
