Can members posting in this thread PLEASE stick to the rules, it really is not a difficult request. This is NOT a questions or discussion topic.

I am not sure why questions such as 'any updates on your case' keep being posted, as the below is quite clear!!!

A reminder to ALL who contribute on this thread, please take note.

To all members who contribute to this topic/thread, the following are the guidance to adhere to so that we do not end up with a timeline thread that runs into 1274 pages as the other one did and has become a discussion thread, rather than an easily readable timeline thread :

Salam everyone!

Today we got our decision. I would definitely want to share some leaves of information/advice for all brothers and sisters who are in same boat.

1:- Use the priority service if you can and specially if you have a straight forward case, our case was super straight forward (Sponsor’s income salaried employment 30K and spouse’s IELTS 7.0, very professional documentation with all detailed and required documents) and still it took 13 weeks to complete.

2:- ALWAYS make sure that you have “IELTS for UKVI”! and not the normal IELTS. My Mrs had 7.0 score in normal IELTS, but still they didn’t accept and we received the following from ECO.

Documents required:

(i) Evidence that you have passed an English language test (A1 Level of Common European Framework) with a provider approved by UKBA, or that you hold an academic qualification recognised by NARIC UK to be the equivalent to the standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK, which was taught in English.

I note that you have provided an IELTS test certificate dated 11/04/2016. I note, however, that from 23 April 2015, UKVI required applicants to submit results from an “IELTS for UKVI” test that was completed at an IELTS test centre authorised by UKVI to run IELTS tests for UK visa and immigration purposes. You must confirm at the time of registration that you wish to use your test result for these purposes. The IELTS test result you have provided is not recognised when attempting to verify your results on the UKVI IELTS website. I am therefore satisfied that the test certificate you have provided is not an “IELTS for UKVI” test.

We still think; that was Allah’s Blessings and courtesy of ECO that he asked for documents instead refusal, we provided Mrs’s degree proof and also certificate from UK NARIC and he accepted it.

I used Cat A and D to financially sponsor my husband. Neither I, nor my employer had been contacted at any point in the process. Aside from the status check I had no call/text/email to say the decision was made. We were emailed to
Collect the passport rather than a call/text.
