Post by Sanmmm » Mon Oct 28, 2019 12:28 am

Im currently claiming carers allowance. For how long would i have to be receiving carers allowance to start the spouse visa process based on carers allowance? And i have recently started working, how many wage slips would i need to provide?

There is no minimum period specified as long as you can supply the required documentation showing that you receive the benefit.

"Payslips covering the period of 6 months prior to the date of application or such shorter period as the current employment has been held." So seems like you should provide as many as you can up to 6 months worth.

The link seagul posted has some good example assessments.

They require: "At least one personal bank statement in the 12-month period prior to the date of
application, showing payment of the benefit or allowance to which the person is currently entitled into their account"

So if iv just recently started claiming carers allowance will i have to wait 12 months? Iv only just recently started working part time too.
