Spouse visa extension

Post by addu » Mon Sep 20, 2021 3:22 pm

I am extending my wife's visa which expires in December 2021. I was filling the application and had a couple of queries if someone can help please:

1- I now have ILR - in which category does my wife apply to extend her dependent visa (she's in UK from the last 2years). Previously visa applied based on my Tier 2 general visa.

2- I couldn't use the PBS denependent visa route https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-partner.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On what basis did you get ilr? 5 years tier 2 or 10 years long residence?

Extend your wife's visa as a skilled worker dependent. It will be a 3 year visa extension.

If you switch her visa category, her ILR clock resets to zero and a new 5 year route to ILR.

many thanks for the guidance

when I start the apllication it says the below

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-partner

'Apply to extend or switch your visa or leave to remain as the partner of someone that has one of the following visas:
Skilled Worker
Skilled Worker : Health and Care Visa
Global Talent
Start-up
Innovator
Student
Intra-Company Transfer
Intra-Company Graduate Trainee
Tier 1, 2, 4 or 5
Graduate'

my query is- i now have ILR; can i still apply through the same route?
P.S- there is no ILR in the above list!

Correct form. You select and use your last tier 2 details!
