hi shaz and nic,

i think if you did the exam through a british uni there shouldn't be a problem. My friend who was refused had been told by worldbridge that a egyptain degree taught in english was fine, but they were refused and complained to ukba about this. No responce as yet.

So please don't worry.

I keep wondering if they've lost our application lol!!!

fingers crossed we all get the decision we want next week, we will know bout ours on monday! I am trying hard not to think about it, but cant stop

Kaza, UKBA seem to change the rules about the english test as and when they like,i feel like it is their way of making more money, especially as we now have to pay for appeals!
and as for worldbridge...my hubby still has had no txt, i have had no email and our status is still saying our application on way to embassy, and my hubby has to drive to Cairo to pick doc's up..think UKBA need to be made aware of how useless they are!

this weekend has been hardest so far Nic, really dragged as well, at least my employer was reasonable, they let me work on my own lol

my hubby is driving to Cairo 1st thing, but apparently they dont let u collect doc's till 3.20pm grrr just as i am on the way to work lol

just to let everyone know, after being told on thurs a decision had been made, worrying all weekend, my hubby drove 2hrs to cairo today to be told no decision had been made, all docs still at embassy
worldbridge told my hubby they had made a mistake, cant see how but we are still non the wiser...friggin worldbridge are useless

Oh Shaz,

I'm so sorry about what happend. They really are useless. Its like they don't give a shit about the feelings of us mortal normal people, which i find weird as egyptains do not like stress or any hassle.

It really unfair how can they make a mistake like that, it makes me so angry.

You have friends on here who feel the same.

Take care hun and enshalla we all will soon have good news and our hubby's will be with us and we can naffad for all this heartache xx

i am fuming about it, been trying to phone worldbridge since 8am but they not answering!

like you said how can they make such a mistake?! and yeah most egyptians are so chilled they almost asleep lol i am like an angry wasp this morning and my hubby is thanking god lol bless him

now they're not answering and close very soon. This is so annoying. when you called did they say they would give you the desicion or could that only be for your husbands.

If we get our's my husband cannot get time of work for at least a week and it would kill me not knowing. If they told us over the phone then at least i could either figure out were to get the appeal money from or book flights.

Its so frustrating x

worldbridge dont know the outcome apparently, they are not allowed to open them, but you can have everything couriered to ur hubby, thats what we paid extra for when we applied.

it is very frustrating, especially when they wont answer the phone! they told my hubby this morning that he will recieve a txt when the documents come back

i hope we all hear soon, u applied before us as well didnt u?

yeah i applied on 4th october and had a phone call from london on 18th october. Was told it would speed things up lol!!!

We're only 6 days infront of you though so we could all hear around the same time.

Well at least the flights are reasonable, you know we even get separated at the airport when coming in. We've decided that my hubby will fly here alone. I want to book flights but can't. Can't do anything its driving me crazy

Our status changed too, but we cannot find out till next week as my husband cannot get even one day of work and of course world bridge will not tell us over the phone.

I'm so frustrated, feel like my life's been in limbo forever

we have been refused, not sure why yet hubby said alot of stuff he dont understand

i am absolutly heartbroken, and to think all of the sham marriages who actually get visa's i am so angry and let down

Thank you all for this thread, me and my husband applied November 16th and I qot a call from them on the 8th of December but they could not get hold of me, and I was called again on the 12th, so we are in the waiting game.

Sorry to hear about your refusal Shaz, it must be annoying after all that wait but hopfully you can appeal the case. best of luck

was told if you get a call you'll get accepted.

Sorry shaz if you need help we're here.

I hate this waiting, for me its a nightmare because our decison is ready but we cannot find out till monday because my hubby's bosses are total ******* and they wouldn't even give him one day offf.

I'm shit scarred now and have no idea where i'll get the money to appeal from.

I'm begining to feel that we all get refused so that more money can be made from us. Egypt alone makes over 25,000 a month on marriage visas alone plus the rest. Nice little earner x

I too was told this, so Iam scared now, and I was excited since I got the call in 3 weeks I thought will hear somethimg soon, I guess this is the norm.

Good luck for you, I know how annoying it can be to wait longer than you should but hopefully it is good news good luck.

ours seems to be the only refusal i have seen from Cairo in the last 3 months, so hopefully it is just a one off

i was under the impression that if u get the call then they are seriously considering it! how wrong was i

i just need to know why we were refused, having no letter telling us is making it even worse, but they did give us appeal papers so at least we can appeal
