Spouse Visa IHS and Additional documents request

Morning all,
I made an application on spouse visa since May1 and later HO got back to me around july for additional documents which was sent them. After three 3 HO asked pay NHS surcharge for my kids and paid the third which is july 27. Since that time l have never heard nothing from them. I am so worried now. Pls can anyone advice me what to do. My solicitor said we should not chase them and we should leave them to do their job. I am worried since may 1.
