Spouse visa - Letter of no objection

Post by Snuffleupugus » Sun Jul 02, 2023 4:11 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife are preparing to apply for a spouse visa, so she can live with me from Korea, we will be in an HMO fyi.

I have a few questions about the NOC letter.

Is it 100% required? I've read conflicting information about this, and I'd really hope it isn't, as my landlord can be quite difficult and I just know he'll make it harder than it needs to be/potentially refuse.

My wife lived here before with me on a youth mobility visa, and her name is on the tenancy agreement, however due to a few circumstances out of our control we couldn't get the visa sorted before she had to go home.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

It will be good to get all ts crossed and all your "i" dotted. Try and get through with land lord for NoC.

If her name is already on the tenancy agreement, that's all you need. It means that she's a legal occupier of that property. It's legally binding, print and highlight that.

You can do more as advised, but in my opinion, that's just overkill.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
