Spouse Visa (looking for some advice)

Post by arif2006 » Mon Oct 30, 2006 3:08 pm

Hello,

I would just like some advice on what is required for a spouse visa application as I do not know much about it.

I have been married since 20/08/06
I am in full time employment ( how many months record do I need)
I am living in a rented property ( I have the tenancy agreement started in september for 12months)
I have over £5,000 in personal savings (nothing from public funds)
I have records of emails and phone calls

I would like to know what other evidence I need and how much of it is required.

Thank you if anyone can help.

Thsnk you I have a slightly better idea now, but it does not really say a period of evidence required, I have heard 3months evidence is sufficient?

The more the better IMHO - if you have 6 months' or more then it's better to supply them than risk a refusal. We put in a years' worth of contact evidence and it still appeared in the refusal letter (no evidence from before our marriage :?) the ECO will try anything they can to come up with a refusal, it's their job!

Well it can't hurt to provide more evidence instead of having doubts later on that you didn't provide enough.

arif2006, have you actually got your spouse visa now? Or if not, have you applied for it? And if not, when does your current visa expire, and what sort of visa is that?
