Due to it being our busiest period, I am afraid we are unable to make a decision on your application within our usual timescale. We aim to make a decision on your application before 31 October. If for any reason we are unable to do so, we will write to you to update.
Staff at the visa application centres or contact centres have no influence on cases and cannot provide any further advice so we recommend you do not attend or call the contact centre. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre until you have received written confirmation that a decision has been made on your application and that your passport is ready to be collected.

To abudhabi!! Actually they got back to me last month asking for more documents to be sent by email which i did but they haven't got back to me!
That email was sent to the applicants who send their supporting documents to Sheffield .

Did they ask about your wife's employment details?
If not you will get your decision in 12 working weeks.
And the online tracker is not working for outside uk applications at the moment.

I have noticed everyone that received this mail have applied in May and most received not straight forward/Hold emails. i can see from timelines people from June are receiving there visa's as normal as long as it is straight forward so i dont think it applies to June/July applications.Hal6 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2017 10:37 amI also didn't receive this email. I've contacted UKVI who've said it's awaiting a decision but he was confident I'd get a decision by 12 weeks. Does anyone know how long after a decision has been made that you get contacted to collect the passport?
