Nothing can be done...simply we have to wait...sreekan2 wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 10:51 amHi my wife and daughter submitted their bio metrics on march 15th, it is a non propriety application. We sent our documents in two deliveries (shouldn't have done that), received a email from ukvi on 23rd March saying missing documents and provided a email address for sending them the documents. I sent an email back explaining about two deliveries with tracking information. From that moment nothing heard from them, rang twice to support number and they are saying awaiting decision.
Don't know what to do.

Visa Type: Settlement - Husband
Application Online: 25/01/2018
Biometrics Submission: 29/01/2018
Documents Submitted in UK: 07/02/2018
Generic Email Received: 10/02/2018
We have not been contacted by UKVI for anything. We contacted them for the 1st time in March via email and they replied saying if we do not hear by 60 working days, which they stated as 26th April then reply back to the email for escalation.
We waited patienlty and didn't hear back anything so I called the UKVI international helpline on the 20th April and they confirmed a decision has been made on the application on 18/04/2018 and I will hear from them within 10 working days.
I still haven't heard anything and its also pass the 26th April deadline they provided me initially.
I replied back to that email last night asking for escalation since I haven't been contacted by UKVI. they haven't responded to my email yet.
Is it normal for them to take so long since decision made date to contact you? I'm really worried. What can I do further?
Thanks
UPDATE: I lost patience and rang the UKVI helpline on 01st May. After speaking/arguing with him for 30mins he finally sent me an email confirmation that a decision has been made on my application.
Apparently they cannot track passports. So he insisted me to go to VAC where I submitted my passport to see if they have it there because he said 'sometimes they will miss to message you'.
I did a 7hrs bus journey got there yesterday morning and this lady at VAC first refused to answer saying you passport isn't ready for collection. After talking to her for 20mins and explaining her the situation, she finally checked it on the system. And confirmed 'my passport is still in Chennai,India (basically all passports submitted at Sri Lanka gets transported to India) and they haven't dispatched it from there and advised me that I will have to contact UKVI or wait for the message to come through'.
I rang the UKVI helpline this morning and told them the situation and requested for escalation since its now more than 10 working days since a decision has been made. They said they can put it as 'URGENT - Passport not received', but not sure how long they will take to respond back.
This is now getting really irritating. So its taking longer to transport the passport then to make decision. And i thought they are meant to tell us if its going to take more than 60 working days?

No, this is not normal but also because you sent applicant/sponsor's documents separately. Did you get a confirmation that they have linked both set of documents to your application. If not, you should contact them and explain the situation.
Thanks, I didn't receive any confirmation from ukvi regarding linking of both packages, not even anything about it in the received documents, when I rang outside uk application number and asked about this they are saying that they don't hold any information like this. Can you please let me know whom should I contact?
Please, it is not necessary to post the same post above in other members topics.achilles3003 wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 11:50 amCountry applying from: Chennai- India
