Mash and everyone whose application has been decided:

When you go to visa4uk.fco.gov.uk and check your application, does it say Complete or In Active?

Hi,

I used this link to check the status inside uk tracker.

As far as i was aware the status normaly shows complete once the passport is dispatched. But could be wrong any reason why you ask?

I think you are talking about the status of Online application after we pay all fees and submit. As of my knowledge that is absolutely useless. Once we submit our application and after certain window (no. of days) it goes into Inactive status. You need to check the lnk provided by Mash.

I heard from sources from Sheffield that UKVI bombarded with EU applications due to Brexit factor and also lack of resources which resulted slowdown of other visa applications. ( I am not sure if this is true and not convinced of this reason).

Hi Mash and MrClient, I ask because I checked the tracker this morning and it says my application has finally been decided. But I read somewhere that once an application is decided, the word Complete turns into In Active in the online application. It's still Complete for me as it has always been.

I'm just wondering why it's In Active for some and Complete for some...

Hi to all ,
Did anyone who received their visa after receiving
"email of supreme court ruling with case being put on hold"
???
Like i received an email in march that due to supreme court ruling my case is being put on hold and it involves cases not meeting financial threshold and where children involved
( neither i have financial issue nor i have any children ;@)
and also i received another email stating my case isnt straight forward.
I have a priority case with biometrics on 9th Feb 2017 and on 9July it shall be 5 months already :/
Anyone having same scenerio and received their visa as yet?

Hi all - Can you tell me if this tracker can be used for applications made outside the UK? If so what reference number is best to be used. I have tried using IHS and VGA number but its saying unrecognised...

My husband submitted his application on 28th March, we got an email saying "not straightforward" and waiting to hear back now... have contacted the email and telephone service a few times with no further information given.

Hi rocks, it seems like this tracker is mainly used for applications submitted WITHIN the UK. However, there are also certain outside applications which can be recognised, specifically decided applications and maybe some still awaiting decision. My reference number has never been recognised until this morning. Only now that it's been decided.

I used my GWF number, but there are applicants who claim VAF numbers also work.

My husband had his biometrics on 7th May and after chasing them a numerous times I still had the same answer "awaiting decision". I called them up today and one lady only took my GWF number to then tell me that a decision was made on 28 June. Due to the home office being really incompetent I did not take her word and called back twice to be told that it is still awaiting decision.

I feel so upset now because for one minute I actually believed her, now am not sure who to believe? I have checked on the tracker and it keeps saying GWF number not recognised :(

That sucks. Personally, I wouldn't rely on the tracker - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I wonder what made that person say your application has been decided though? Also where are you applying from? I noticed that US applications tend to be processed faster than everyone else's. Applications from Asia tend to take longer.

Hi Levis,
As far my knowledge many people in our forum received ONHOLD email due to SC ruling.
Later I heard that status changed to "Case Not Straight Forward". there was another thread where you will get more info at :
immigration-for-family-members/uk-spous ... 94-20.html

Don't worry and be patience. As far I see applications holding long time looks like they are 99% succeeding with positive outcome (Its just my analysis ).

Hi Anna,
From my experience that Online Tracker is not much useful. What I learned was people who applied "With in UK" they can see status(again not all but most of them) and people who applied "outside UK" they can see their status only once their application decided(again not in all cases but most of them). In all other cases u will get invalid Ref.no error. And my understanding the status updation vary's from ECO to ECO. Some they will update and some not. Looks like not standard or mandatory for them.

Coming to visa4uk.fco.gov.uk online application, as per my knowledge that status will not change based on UKVI application process. Irrespective of result that will go into Inactive status. For instance my wife came UK first time on Visit Visa last year (During Aug-Nov). After going India In Dec2016 I have applied her settlement visa. In both the cases the application gone to Inactive status after 40-50 days later of application submission.

I would say better contacting solicitor's , MP's and UKVI in a right manner would help us instead of these trackers.

Hi all. My partners settlement visa application was put on hold on 18.5.17 in Lima, Peru - Supreme Court ruling email. His biometrics and documents were submitted 5.5.17 & priority service paid. Heard nothing since. Have emailed the HO for an update and have been told "it's awaiting a decision, but the application is on hold" so basically no time scale for when I'll hear a response. I had a solicitor do the application so I know I meet the financial requirements and no children involved. 2 weeks ago I contacted my local MP to chase for an update - nothing as of yet, but I they advised me today they would call for an update.

If/when I get an update I'll make sure to share.

I'm in the same situation, had an email almost 5 weeks ago saying it's been put on hold, and another email saying the case wasn't straightforward enough however they sent my documents back the same week? I applied in March via priority service but I've not heard of anyone receiving their visa after this email.
HO even phoned my employer 2 months ago, surely they must've made a decision by now?
All I want to ask is will they still make a decision or do I need to reapply?

From what i understand you can not re apply until your application has been concluded or until you with draw.your better off waiting it out and then if it is a refusal ot will tell you why on the letter then you can re apply recitifying the issues unless you are given the option to appeal or have a review you can do what suits you best.

My advise would be to wait i know its a very long time and its anoying because youd rather know if its a yes or no then you can plan what you will do but this is what the home office does they make people wait and wait and then say no and most people instead of appealing the decision because that can take up to year they re apply and this to me feels like a way of making more money of people.

Good luck hope you get your decision soon.
