Hi All,

I have called the UKVI today as 60 working days are over last week and I am been told that decision has been made on 2nd Nov. Just wondering after how many days do you receive an e-mail,text or call from Application center to receive your passport?

Really? because i’ve applied for spouse visa and i’ve asked someone in pakistan to check for my case with pakistan embassy and they told them the case is with Ministry of foreign affairs and they will do their final checks and then tell the people in islamabad. who will then contact my spouse for passport collection once the decision is made.

Someone has told you incorrect advice.

Spouse visas are processed by HO in sheffield.

It means the query you sent them has been passed onto the decision making department in Sheffield. Sheffield will aim to reply back to you in 15 working days.

If you do not hear anything in 3 weeks, reply back to the email. It appears 3 weeks have passed. I would reply back and say it has been more than 3 weeks now, please re-escalate.

It doesn't. You have either been misinformed or someone is playing a joke on you.

It is ONLY Home Office in Sheffield that process and decides ALL visa applications.

It makes no sense to go to FCO after it's gone to Home Office. Home Office probably have all tools to access information that FCO hold any way.

How does someone in Pakistan know much about such a thing. They are either talking non-sense or they meant your passport is with the embassy who will print the vignette sticker.

Thanks for letting me know. I am saying this because when they asked the people in pakistan they were able to give correct info about my case e.g. they knew what documents were requested and why it’s taking long

No problem. also one question solictor recieved email to pick up passport from gerry’s office islambad but there is no name or GWF reference number? would be good for us to ring the Gerry’s office in islamabad and ask if passport has arrived for collection? or should my partner go there with ID

Thanks
