These are grounds of suitability. On what grounds they refused you, were you subject of a deportation order or overstay?

Successfull Appeal Spouse Visa

Post by NaeemAbbas » Wed May 19, 2021 5:05 am

Hi there,

I just wanted to know about the steps and time frame after a successful immigration appeal for a spouse visa. My appeal was successful on 5th May 2021 but we did not hear from Home Office after that. Could someone let me know please on how soon we should be receiving a response about paying the IHS and submitting the passport?

Regards,

Naeem Abbas

The norm is about 4weeks; however with HO whats norm?
It appears most if not all appelants who win end up having to follow up with HO to get a response/next step in getting the visa, check several reports on the forum of same issue.
You may want to chase up after 4weeks.

Hi

Can anyone clarifying it will be ok for my husband to travel with the original TB test certificate from 2019?
Also will he need the original?
And anything else apart from the covid tests
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He will need a new tb test as its valid for 6 months only. Original will be required. Need covid test and need to book government approved hotel before travel for quarantine that costs £1750 for 10 days. Nothing else required.

You don’t need a new TB test, it was only meant to be valid at the date of the application. Don’t waste your money, take your old TB certificate and print out should suffice. My wife application was refused in early 2017 and she travelled in 2019, they didn’t even ask for the TB certificate. If an application took more than 6 months to be decided! It doesn’t make any sense to do another TB test if it was valid at the date of the application.

Waste of money I would say even if you don't have a TB certificate at the entry, they are equipped to do one for you at Heathrow or Gatwick.

Hi there,

I am trying to book appointment to submit my passport for VFS global Islamabad for UK but I cannot seem to find the correct link or the appointment page for UK. It goes on gov.uk page when I click on book an appointment option and that page is asking me to apply for the visa all over again. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Naeem

You don't need too book an appointment for submitting your passport.
After you pay the ihs fee , you will get a email about a week later to submit the passport...you will need a copy of that email that's all. No need to book an appointment.

To book a government approved hotel for quarantine from Pakistan to UK. Can I pay with my wife’s debit card or it has to be my own card with my name on it? Will the hotel require the card at the time of check in? Can I present a picture of it if so or physical card is must?
