I have arrived in UK on 10/11/2010 on Tier 2 ICT Established Staff.
I am in UK for 9 years 10 months on Tier 2 ICT category and eligible for ILR in Oct 2020 with Long Residency route. My current visa is going to expire on Oct 26th 2020.
My wife is in UK for 5 years on dependent's Visa, as i will applying ILR on Long residency my wife can't apply along with me. My wife's visa is going to expire in Oct 2020.
As the situation stands now, there is no super priority option, i need to do postal application.
what type of visa my wife need to apply while my ILR application is in progress?

Applications are now done online, no filing of paper with pen and sending of by post anymore.
what type of visa my wife need to apply while my ILR application is in progress?

There is no postal application. Your wife must apply under FLR(M) as she cannot remain under PBS route

Yes by adding a covering letter requesting to not process it until you obtain your decision. By doing so, you might avail to pay lesser IHS which is set to rocket from 1st October.

I went through Vinny's links, Obie's advice was to apply FLR(FP) and then varied to FLR(M), is this still valid?
Or can my wife go ahead with FLR(M) with cover letter explaining about my current ILR(LR) application?
Sorry i am bit worried about the application type.

If you apply the FLR(M) then cover letter to make reference to your own pending application with HO.

Thanks for the confirmation. I am gathering documents for my wife's FLR(M) application. Do i need to provide documents for 2 years of cohabitation? Does this rule apply to us? The reason for asking is, normally i don't keep the old documents addressed to us. We opted for online bank statements, is it ok to provide online statements? I can find old council tax bills for last 2 years, our broadband and electricity bills are online statements.

Today i have applied for the SET(LR) application and my wife started filling her FLR (M) application.
The FLR (M) Application- Requires the spouse to sign the "Family Declaration Form" . Since my wife is applying FLR(M) and I am still awaiting a decision on my SET (LR) - What option shall we select from the following considering that I am still awaiting decision.
This declaration must be signed by the applicant’s partner and not by a representative or other person acting on their behalf. It must be sent to the Home Office with the applicant’s documents. If you fail to do so, the application may be refused.
I confirm that (tick relevant box)
I am a British citizen
I am settled in the UK (I have indefinite leave)
I have leave to remain in the UK as a refugee / or as a person requiring humanitarian protection

I have got 2 reference numbers, one is application reference number which looks like 1212-XXXX-XXXX-XXX/00 and another reference number looks like UKVI_2SXXXXXXX, which one i need to include in the letter?

Thanks for the responses, unfortunately my wife mentioned UKVI_XXXX reference number in her FLR (M) application. Is it ok to explain this in the cover letter with correct reference number?

I have also submitted FLR M for my family with my SET LR in progress

To my surprise today my wife have received FLR m approval email before getting my ILR decision, is this normal?? Does this mean my ILR is also approved ??
This is my timeline
Application (SET (LR)) submitted on - 13/10/2020
Biometrics on - 03/11/2020
decision - still waiting ( The timelines suggests that approval up to 16/09/2020)
My wife time line
Application (FLR (M)) submitted on - 14/10/2020
Biometrics on - 07/11/2020
decision - Approved ( 21/1/2021, valid for 30 months)

I still didn't hear anything on my ILR(LR) approval, is there any way i can send an email?
