UK SPOUSE VISA application

Hello everyone,

I have submitted my UK spouse visa application
On 1st August 2019 and biometric data has been
Taken on same day. Submitted all documents through vfs scanning service. I have not received any email of acknowledgement or anything yet.

Could anyone plsase tell me from their experience if the immigration sends you email of acknowledgment or visa processing updates.

There is generally no acknowledgement or updates.

So that means they will write me only once the decision has been made?

Did you pay for priority service or you have a standard application?

You are more likely to get two emails: the 1st one is an acknowledgement to inform you that the application has been received in Sheffield, you may or not get that email. The second is to notify that they have a decision, you must get this one. They won't update you any further apart from these two emails.

In my case, I've applied two months ago and I paid for priority, then I've got the 1st email 3 weeks after. If you haven't got an email yet, standard or priority, is perfectly normal.

Yeah I paid for priority service. Damn they take 2 months for priority. They said it takes 30 working day

Is it a 1st time spouse visa application? It takes 6 weeks on priority service, but it's just an estimated timeline, as it may take shorter or longer than that. Priority does not guarantee 100% a fast decision about your application.

If you have choosen Premium Lounge service then you should get text saying application is accepted uder REf >> GWF.... and 2nd text stating your application was forwarded to UKVI on >> Date

Yeah its first time application. Thank you for your information. Im just keeping my finger crossed for the decision.

I applied from Hong Kong so I did receive a text on the same day I submitted documents saying my application has been forwarded to ukvi Manila. After that nothing at all
