You can contact ukvi and have them esculate it or contact your local mp and have them esculate both ways it will still take a while to get a responce back up to 21 days but can be sooner.i feel for you because you are not the only one HO IS LITERALLY TAKING THE PISS KNOW and there is no way to get this sorted because thats how they like it keeping people ont here toes.and reep the rewards of costly calls and emails.

It looks like for people who have not got the "on hold" email... UKVI has strted to process non-priority apps at around the 3 month time frame... judging by the Pak and India timeline threads

Hi Bahadar
It wasn't me who got the IHS request. It was user madhu_zoom - they got the not straightforward email and then after 2 days request for IHS for the 2 kids... I am not sure what happened after that - I have messaged them

as for me still waiting to see what happens...
will keep posted

are you also in similar position..

Hi ukguyinlondon,

I applied on 27th of march (wife+2kids) and after two months I received an email requesting to pay IHS for my daughter which I did on the same day . But I haven't received no email for my son to pay IHS fee .
This is strange that they asked for me daughter only to pay IHS .

Any clue or idea why they did that and I have heard that when they ask for kids IHS it means they are happy to issue visa .
As you are aware that when you fill online application they don't charge for kids (IHS FEE) .
And I also heard that if they want to refuse they never ask for kids IHS because they have to refund .
Does it make sense ?

please share info and any idea or anyone have gone through this .
regards.

Raj, can you post the link? Although, I don't hold much hope for those as they will probably answer vaguely and won't supply the answer we want to hear.

I'm starting to believe that the pause will end when they end it and nothing we can do about it.

UK spouse visa on hold and massive delays

MissVanCityExpat wrote: Hi Simon,

Thanks for your advice - much appreciated!

I will certainly look into speaking to a solicitor re: compensation for non-EEA spouse/applications and other issues with the process, but won't hold my breath as non-EEA applicants aren't entitled to much unfortunately.

I have already written to my MP regarding the situation, which was also put on hold unfortunately due to elections. As he has now been re-elected I have asked my case to be re-opened, which they agreed to. Hopefully some clarity will be provided soon!
Hi MissVanCity & All ,
Coming Tuesday I ve got appointment with my local MP(face-to-face).
I am planing to highlight all our horror stories. I've already built a letter based on Simon's template(one of our forum user).

May I ask you kindly provide your letter by removing your personal details. So that I will take important points from your letter. The reason I am asking your letter is for so that i will collect vital/important points to discuss and finally give a letter from my side in written form.
