UKM Application and Family of a settled person visa

Post by Pammy » Sun Jan 19, 2020 2:52 pm

Good Afternoon,

I'm doing my UKM application. Once this is approved I will be classed as a British Citizen by descent.

The question I have is about my 21 year old Daughter.

I was told that once I am British Citizen I (or my Daughter) can apply for a "family of a settled person" visa.

We can leave together and will be living with Mom in Law.

Please can you help me with the link to the visa, as I can only find "Family Visa" application on the gov.uk website.

What are the requirements ?

Thank you very much,

Pamela

You can only sponsor children under 18 on a child settlement visa usually.

On the website it does state that if you are over 18, you can still apply to join your Parent.

Apply for a family of a settled person visa.

There's no way I'm leaving my Daughter behind in South Africa.

Apply if you are overseas and over 18.

Ancestry visa will be possible for your daughter.
I am assuming your mother is British.
