Spouse Visa queries

Post by anon1 » Thu Dec 12, 2019 12:57 am

Hi in my previous thread 'confused about visa process' my query was not answered fully

UK sponsor, Spouse is from Canada.

1. in terms of documents: Does her passport need to be uploaded? Does mine?

I am thinking of attaching whatsapp conversations. Do these need to be for the whole length of our relationship, or just from the date of the relationship? Would screenshots showing calls and the length of them be sufficient?

2. Is the priority visa worth doing? I want my wife here in the UK asap, but the visa centre she will be applying from does not have the super-priority visa as an option

3. A letter is required from the property owner and signed stating they are happy for the applicant to live in their property. What if they cannot sent due to mental incapacity. Does a Power of Attorney need to be attached?

Please help.

1. Yes. Whatsapp can be snapshots of conversations over the course of the relationship.

2. While most applicants get quicker response with it, It Is not guaranteed as particularly cases may require more checks by HO and check that your application does not fall within those ones with reason from HO that should not try priority. There is no super priority option available for your application; It's either standard or priority.

Yes to both.

You have to legally occupy the proposed accommodation and provide evidence of such. Providing evidence that whoever is providing permission to occupy the accommodation is doing so legally is probably a reasonable assumption.
I'm just a guy on the Internet who immigrated to the UK. My opinions are based on my experience and interpretation of the immigration rules and should not be considered legal or immigration advice; your mileage may vary.

1. Whatsapp chat/call logs only need for that duration when you both lived apart.

2. Super priority service not always give the decision swiftly.

3. Whoever is managing that property such as estate agent or caring him can give that letter.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Spouse Visa- Adding further documents after application

Post by anon1 » Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:52 pm

Hi,
I have submitted my wife's application. I also got the documents uploaded at the London centre.
My question is - Can I now add more documents? e.g I didn't print off any whatsapp conversations only the screenshots on A4. If so, how do I do this?

Did you mean you upload at the VFS centre in London? If yes it is possible to go back to them to upload more documents for you as additional.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.

VFS cannot find uploaded documents at biometrics appointment?

Post by anon1 » Thu Jan 23, 2020 10:07 pm

Hi I uploaded the documents for my wife's spouse visa application yesterday in London at the VFS centre.
My wife went to her biometrics appointment today and they told her that they couldn't see any documents that were uploaded. They told her she could bring the supporting documents. Should I be worried??
They also told.her I needed to submit a contents page stating what documents I had uploaded. Is this correct.

Please advise as I am really worried now.
