Can someone tell me how an appeal procedure works. I have an appeal coming up for my husbands visa refusal and I am anxious how it will go and what questions I will have to answer, also will they be strict with me and how long will I have to answer for. will they discuss my work marriage income everything or only ones they rejected me for?I will be attending with my solicitor.

Well guys I just got my spouse visa today. And I should say thank you for the advices. It really solves so many doubts. Well I'll just brief my case. We got married a month back and then my wife had to leave because her holidays came to an end.

Well I applied for my spouse visa and got a decision in 3 weeks. I just gave the documents whirly mentioned but not all of them as I my spouse didnt have a 5 digit balance but still had a respectable job and a healthy current a/c bal. The Housing documents were also submitted including other assets i own in my home country.
I also submitted my previous employment and experience letters. So we just made sure we submitted all the documents which we had and voila!!
I would also be grateful to know if housing benefit is counted as a public fund ? :S. . .
Really excited to see my wife, again thanx guys for the support specially to Ilm and a few others. Thanks Loads.

hi there, i am a Hong Kong citizen who got refused entry on arrival last week and went back to Hong Kong. Boyfriend and I have decided to get married so I could enter the UK permanently without any problems. However, I've been advised it is the best for me and my partner to get married in Hong Kong first rather than get a marriage(fiancée visa) in Hong Kong and register in the UK... I am very lost at the moment, what is the best way to do?

thanks for reading and congrats to all who succeed the applications : )

mine was a succesful application for my husband, go through my posting and you will find what I submitted. My husband was an overstayer and worked and after having been outside the country for more then one year we applied for his visa.

I applied for a visit visa for a wife mother, it went to appeal and I asked the advice of and they just gave me a straight answer without beating around the bush.. So I decided to use them and went for appeal which they submitted. Few weeks down the line before I even got a date for appeal I received a letter saying appeal withdrawn and was granted the visa!! Later I found out it was the persistence of ask which made them give in, which they did not have to do because they would have made the real money if it went to the appeal! So if you want some real honest work use

What do you write on the letter of invitation? It just seems a bit odd to me to write such a thing and I have no idea of we should put on it. Any help would be appreciated!

Did you get the format of invitation letter? If not, pm me please, I will sent it to you.
After taking Advice; remember Everyone's application, and thus supporting documents, will be different depending on personal circumstances.

I'm currently attempting to get an unmarried partnership visa. I tried to send you a message, ilm, but I'm not sure if it went through. I can't find it in my sentbox so I'm just repeating it on here.

I'm a 23 year old American girl who has been dating a British man for three years and now we're trying to go to England together.

I basically want to know how much the process cost you total. I'm not clear on whether there is an additional embassy fee on top of the application fee. Anything you can share based on your personal experience would be so greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
