income period for eligibility-can i work for 5/6 months only

Post by alokik » Thu Jul 31, 2008 9:14 am

Dear friends,

I am preparing application to apply for tier 1 visa from delhi

can you please clarify:

i work in a company in new delhi(india) earning gross salary of 1,55,000 INR/MONTH. TDS is deducted at source.
salary cheque amount/month is INR 1,35,000/-
CHEQUE is given to me and not deposited directly by employer in the bank
this would mean that i may qualify to claim 45 points towards earnings by just showing and including my salary of 5/6 months.
is my assumption correct?

is it ok if i show income for a continuous period less than 12 months towards earnings points claim?

or i should have been working for a minimum of 12 months to become eligible?

awaiting your reply

regards

Refer Page 15 of tier1genpolicyguide.pdf

An applicant does not have to be in continuous or full-time employment during the 12 months being assessed.

An applicant may claim for a period of earnings
of less than 12 months if they have earned suffi cient
funds to claim the necessary points.
