Indefinite Leave to Enter runs out after 2 years

I have an Indefinite Leave to Enter visa from 15 December 2007. As I have not been married to my husband then for only 1 year, my ILE is only for years. Can anyone tell me how do I go about renewing it? The UK Immigration website says nothing about this and I have been on hold on the phone with them for hours and still no answer!

My question is what kind of visa do I get after an ILE which I already have, how do I renew it? Or do I need to renew it at all?

I need this info urgently and would be grateful for it

You don't need to renew it but you can have it transferred to a new passport (unless they've started issuing ID cards for residents by then.
