Indefinite leave to remain application

Post by Luke768 » Wed Jan 29, 2020 4:25 pm

Hello,

My original spouse visa entry into the UK is dated 8 April 2016. My 5 year qualifying period is therefore 8 April 2021. My current spouse visa (married to British citizen) expires on 18 April 2021.

If I apply Online Form SET(M) on 22nd March 2021 and book a Super Priority Appointment shortly after in March 2021 (before 8 April 5 year period), is this ok?

Does this 28 day grace period apply also to the qualifying period (i.e. can apply 28 days prior to end of visa and qualifying period)?

Separately, are the Super Priorty Appointments easy to get? Seems to have changed the system when we did this at the 2.5 year spouse visa renewal, when it was very very difficult to get appointments online.

Many thanks.

You can apply to settle from 28 days before you’ve completed 5 years under Appendix FM, since arriving in the UK.

You can chose priority or super priority service, £500 or £800, decision in 5 working days or 24 hours, the decision is made after your UKVCAS appointment, not at the appointment, UKVCAS appointments are relatively easy to get, for a price.
